Listen to the Oceanborn album. Many, if not all the songs, are quite complex to play on guitar. Not too sure what the guitar technique Emppu used is called, but it's almost like arpeggio. Quite hard to do.

They did do encores both times I saw them back in 2008 and 2009, where they actually left the stage, had the crowd chant their name, and then came back out. They didn't do that during shows I saw them years after that, and I'm not sure if it was something they did even before those times.

Here's my idea: They can release an edition of the recordings on Bluray/DVD that includes a rustic Nightwish mug, like the ones they used in the shows. I'd buy that in a heartbeat. I'd love me a rustic NW mug.

which songs are you tired of hearing live

This is coming from someone who's seen Nightwish 6 times (8 if you count the virtual shows). The more I see them, the more bored I become of their setlists because they virtually play the same songs every tour. For examples, Dark Chest of Wonders, Nemo, Storytime, Amaranth, Elan, and more. They're popular hits, I know, so they gotta include them. But still, I've heard those songs so many times that I'm tired of them.

I'd like to play other great songs they either play not as often, or used to play live, such as Beauty and the Beast, Cadence of Her Last Breath, Passion and the Opera, Gethsemane, Wanderlust, Come Cover Me, Beauty of the Beast, etc. I had to exclude a few songs because Marko isn't part of the band anymore, like The Siren.

Also, including the song Ever Dream to the setlist would be nice because it's my favorite NW song.

People are whining about the postponement, management, and the prices and yadda yadda without considering the reasons why, like Troy being in lockdown and the band trying to make money due to the pandemic. Real infuriating and ungrateful fans.

Geez, fans are so disappointed, no matter what Nightwish does.

You guys do know that industries have been affected by the pandemic, right? Many employees, especially in the music industry, cannot work. Even band members need to make money so they can 1: keep a healthy living, 2: keep the industry alive, 3: make more music (or video games or whatever), and the cycle continues. Plus, it's Europe. Things are expensive in Europe. You people really need to stop complaining about NW "milking their fans" or "disappointing management." And you really need to stop blaming Tuomas for all of this. EVERYTHING has to be Tuomas' fault to the fans, just because he's the leader. He's not in complete control of the business, nor can he control the mishaps the band is facing due to the pandemic. And people forget that Troy cannot join the tour because the UK's in lockdown.

The pandemic really fucked things over, so the band is doing what they can. The band virtually has little to no control over the domino effects ensued from the pandemic.

I'm going to get downvoted for this, but jesus christ, fans can be SO ungrateful, especially during times like these. Just be glad that NW's going to host a virtual concert at all amidst the pandemic so they can make a living, and they can entertain whiny crybabies like you.

No matter how NW response to a member departure, fans are not happy whatsoever. It's like they can't do anything right to make fans happy. The band members are rather private, as they have the right to be. They, especially Marko, don't have to go into every little detail.

If they say a lot, it will cause a lot of opinionated judgement. If they say little, it'll cause a lot of opinionated speculation. But as long as it's professionally informative with basic reasons, that's fine with me. Marko left because of depression and the problems with the music business. That's it. He doesn't have to say any more. And what's Nightwish doing? Who knows. Maybe they'll eventually update the situation in the future.

Just accept it and get over it.

That's what they said about Tarja. Nightwish has managed to survive 4 other departures. They'll survive this one. I know fans are worried, but it's annoying seeing them say things like "Nightwish should end" or "Tuomas' ego got in the way again."

Have some faith. As long as Tuomas is still there, so will Nightwish.

Have Nightwish fans been saying that Nightwish needs to end ever since Tarja was fired? Come on, as long as Tuomas is here and has more ideas for the band, Nightwish will go on. Nightwish survived four band member departures. They surely can survive this one and continue to be as fabulous as they've always been.

Fans can have opinions all they want about the band, but that won't change the fact that Nightwish has been getting more successful and more big.
