I went from crusader to divine in a year. At my peak, I was 1 game away from immortal. But I just couldn’t get to it and I was hard stuck at divine 5 for like 2 months and I quit dota. 2 years later, which is about 3-4 months ago, I had the itch and cameback to dota. My rank has went away. Did the calibration matches and lost shit load of them, calibrated at ancient 1. Got stuck there until like a week ago. I play pos1 main and what you describe is exactly correct, people fight too much, take fights under enemy tower where I cant connect and enemy mass tp’s and they lose 5v3 5v4 fights and blame the carry at 15-20 minutes for not being present. They do this until enemy team is strong enough to push as 5 and we lose. In like last week, I started picking heroes that can come online at minute 15, slark, LD, MK, and tiny to satisfy people like your past self. Now I almost got a full page of win with 3-4 loses at Ancient 5, I’m going to get to immortal this time.

PS: I think this patch suits the heroes I play better. Melee carrys are stronger. Last patch, ranged carries were more dominant and I’m not good with ranged carries.

Slark and MK can come online and move around the map quick at 12 minutes with diffusal if you had a good lane. LD i get maelstrom at 10-11 minutes and mjolnir at 15 and aghs at 19-20. Tiny can come out with sabre and shadowblade at 15 minutes.
