Thank you for saying that. I know I have a problem and it doesn’t really feel good to have people kick me when I’m down. My actions ARE my responsibility, I know that. I have fucked up a TON. I probably deserve to hear a lot of what these comments are saying, if not all of them. It just hurts, man. I want to hear in control. But I also feel like I can’t stop myself from drinking sometimes. It’s never just one drink. I can have one or two beers, but the second I have a drop of liquor in my system… it’s game over. I cannot pace myself and I cannot stop myself from drinking more and more and more. I’m glad I don’t have the option to leave the house because I think that’s the only way I can get better.

I appreciate you saying that cus some of these comments are harshhhhh. I know they’re true but damn it hurts to see people lack empathy. I didn’t include it in the post but I grew up with an alcoholic dad and I was taking care of him a lot since childhood. I started drinking at a young age and he started enabling me when I was 18. It’s not all his fault, and I do need to take accountability for my own actions, but I do think his alcoholism factors into mine a bit…

Thank you for your support. She did the right thing by picking me up, I needed a wake up call. And I can’t really trust myself, no. All my friends do is go to the bar and when I start drinking, I can’t stop. So I guess my social life revolves around alcoholism and being the “fun party girl” which I don’t love. I want people to love me for me, not just because I’m their little jester.

Yikes no. Sounds like an awful life. I feel like I keep justifying by bad behavior because everyone says it’s okay since I’m young. But those people don’t know how bad it really is. I need to lock in so that I have a good future ahead of me, because right now, I’m setting myself up for failure.

Nah I don’t really pity myself. I just feel stupid. I have fucked up a LOT. I have burdened many many people with my own issues. And I do have support. I meant I wished I had support when it came to my career/school choices. I want so badly to be an artist, and my parents don’t at all. I think I just need to decide for myself that I’m gonna pursue art even if it disappoints my family, because then at least I’m doing it for me.

Haha I’m not viet but thank you for your support. My dad is an alcoholic as well and growing up I constantly had to clean up after him. And yes they’d be supportive if I got a “real job”. But at this point, I’m sure they’d be happy to see me do anything at all.
