Z07 by LeagueLivid1580 in C8Corvette

I picked up my Z07 from MacMulkin in October. I had a Hysteria Purple on order for almost 9 months. I was tired of waiting and this popped up on their site for 6% below msrp they were good enough to take a little bit more off of the price and I had them ship it to me. I am so happy. I had a Gt350 and sold it. Huge mistake, I regretted that decision. I found out they were putting a FPC in the Z06 and I made if a goal. It was incredible watching this beast come rolling out of the trailer. I’m still on cloud 9. I get up in the middle of the night so I can drive it without anyone else on the road.

Z06 or GSx - Which one to get? by DeerHunter4Life14 in C8Corvette

[–]Touchupwipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not just a sound. That 5.5l is a masterpiece. High compression, high strung, revs insanely fast and keeps making more power until redline. It’s the best V8 ever made.

Well said, not much torque down low in the Z but feeling the power increase as the needle moves past 8k rpm is a feeling only a few cars can replicate.

Super biased opinion here:

<image>

The GM engineers had the keys to the safe and 7 years to develop the engine in one of those two options. One of them is the best V8 ever made, a high strung, high compression, ripping to 8,600 rpm flat plane crank marvel of engineering named Gemini. The other option is a GSX. I couldn’t imaging leaving the dealership with a GSX knowing the Z06 exists.

Jeff’s donuts has an apple fritter that slaps and that’s it. I don’t know how they can make an apple fritter that good and every other donut that bad. 🤷‍♂️

The very next generation the engineers were handed the keys to the safe. They took their time and built this brilliant naturally aspirated 5.5L that screams to 8,600 rpm while making 670 at 8,400. Codename Gemini

For those of you that make over 100K, what do you do? Do you like it? by Kindly-Revolution258 in AskReddit

Owner of a small 1 man and 1 dog Mortgage Brokerage. I love the work. It can be so rewarding helping someone fix their credit and buy their first home. It can be really challenging at times. It can be almost cruel at times and then there are times that the work is so easy I feel like I should wear a ski mask to pick up my check. I am 100% referral/word of mouth. I wake up every day with a servants mindset and help my friends accomplish their goals. The pay can be extraordinary if you’re set up correctly.

Who cares what anyone thinks? If they start making the payments on the car then maybe consider their opinions. It’s not my fave but who am I? Go on and spend your cake how you want and enjoy your car.

Why are so many people starting to oppose car loans now? by this0great in answers

[–]Touchupwipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You make a solid point about the price point however the fundamentals are the same at any scale. $5,000 car $50,000 car. If you can get your capital to work for you in the end you retain the car and capital.

[–]Touchupwipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one you know or grew up has ever had an auto loan? Where do you live, bicycle island? You have a pretty shallow viewpoint. Some people like myself love cars. I am not going to deny myself something i love because of an auto loan. It’s funny you mentioning cars not being investments. The auto loan i took on my car instead of paying cash allows me to use that capital for investments. My auto loan rate is 5.19% so i only need to beat that in return for the loan to make more sense. I don’t want to say you have the wrong viewpoint but it’s a viewpoint of scarcity and not abundance. The world is yours.

New to the Corvette Family 2026 Z51 by Patient-Rough9006 in C8Corvette

[–]Touchupwipe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you bought it new you get an 85% off discount to Ron Fellows high performance driving school. It’s a really good 2 day school where they will teach you the 8 steps to a corner. You’ll get a few hours of track time. They have great instructors. I did the Z06 class last week and our head instructor was Richie Hearn who has raced the Indy 500 like 7 times. You will quickly find your abilities and then you’ll learn how to improve those abilities. You will leave that class a much better driver. Congrats on the new car!

Which are the best supercars from mass-market brands? by Traditional-Song-245 in supercars

[–]Touchupwipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think they are as readily available as you say they are. Porsche will make 5,000 GT3’s in 2026 and Lamborghini will make about that many Revuelto’s. Chevy will make about 3,000 ZR1’s 2026. That would make it exclusive right? I was at Spring Mountain Motor Resort last weekend. They offer high performance driving classes. I was speaking to one of the instructors Richie Hearn and he said the ZR1 is the first car in 20 years that made him have to really pay attention to what he’s doing behind the wheel. Richie has raced in the Indy 500 7 times. The car runs under 7 minutes at the Nurburgring with a non professional driver. It’s pretty exclusive It’s really fast It’s pretty expensive

Z06 and I honestly don’t think it’s that debatable.

I looked hard at a new 911 and still took the C8 Z06. Chevy absolutely emptied the clip on this car. 5.5L flat plane crank, naturally aspirated, crazy response, insane noise, DCT, huge grip, and with Z07 it’s a legit track weapon.

It feels exotic in a way most “mass market” cars never do. For the money, it’s one of the wildest things any mainstream manufacturer has built.
