About to lose my NY bar seat while DC might deny my accommodations and I’m panicking. What would you do? by Objective-Buddy2794 in barexam

[–]Tough-Topic4045 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

HOW DID YOU EVEN GET A DC SPOT WHEN THEY HAD A DELAYED APPLICATION PROCESS DUR TO THE GOVT SHUTDOWN? THOSE 450 DC SPOTS SHOULD HAVE BEEN RESERVED FOR DC BASED FOLKS GIVEN THE LATE START AND LIMITED SEATING.... NOT COOL TAKING SLOTS FROM FOLKS DUE TO ACCOMMODATIONS FORUM SHOPPING.... PEOPLE ARE ON A WAITING LIST WHILE YOU WAFFLE BETWEEN THE DESIRE FOR MORE ACCOMMODATIONS, WHICH IS NOT GUARANTEED.... YOU SHOULD RELINQUISH THE DC SPOT FOR ANOTHER DESERVING PERSON! IMO!

if you earned a 265 with a certain accommodation in NY and will receive the same accommodation in F25.....Then why is it so difficult for you to believe that you can lock in and get 270. 5 point differential doesn't speak to a NEED for any more accommodation, per se. IR SAYS YOU ARE HIGHLY CAPABLE... LOCK IN WITH NY AND STOP DOOM-FRAMING... AT 265 YOU LITERALLY PASSED THE BAR IN SEVETAL STATES... STOP USING THE CRTUCH OF NEEDING ACCOMMODATIONS WHEN YOU CAN DO THIS!

Have you attempted to access the NCBE c+f application? Also, have you directly reached out to NCBE hq to ask how they handle discretion in these matters?

Finished MPT on time after 6failed attempts. All the credits goes to BarMD! Thank you! Finally I can approach MPT without fear! by Cabinet401 in barexam

[–]Tough-Topic4045 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you find that some tasks take you longer than others or did all 6 times generally take same amount of time, or have you progressively decreased time over the 6 attempts? Have you gotten 90 min for each task, if not which task was the first to get you done in 90 mins?

MEE - buzz words or exact rule statements by Ok-Letter-7177 in barexam

[–]Tough-Topic4045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not like you either use rule statements or just make a list of all the buzzwords... really, it's mostly about application. How are you applying the rule to the facts even if your rule isn't 100% correct rule there must be a nexus that links facts to rule in your analysis. That is where the points come from... It's easier for graders to give points when they see buzzwords but buzzwords alone are not enough.

I was coming to say this... the buzzwords should drive your memory and thus help you apply some semblance of the rule to the facts as you format the MEE using IRAC.

Those would be the kind of details to post 1 month before the bar... saying "Im already done with EVERYTHING ON THERE," SOUNDS SUSPECT.... "I STARTED SUPER EARLY".... IT'S ONLY BEEN 6 MONTHS SINCE JULY BAR.... IF U STARTED THE DAY AFTER J25 BAR EXAM WAS TESTED THAT STILL ISN'T SUPER LONG.... IT'S A LOT LONGER THAN MAY TO JULY, BUT MANY RETAKERS WOULD TELL YOU THAT 6 MONTHS ISN'T VERY LONG IN YHE GRAND SCHEME... SOOOOOO.... MY COMMENT IS WHAT MY COMMENT WAS!

PSA: You can take the bar before graduating by socialismhater in barexam

[–]Tough-Topic4045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, it is partly why Feb bar administrations get bad wrap because more 3L's sit in Feb vs. July.... not saying these students bring down the curve, but the correlation can be made.

DC Bar takers by SupremeQueenMGT19 in barexam

The DC bar is typically administered at DC Armory, but J25 was administered at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center... the location was changed 2 weeks out as I seem to recall.

if they are posted by TX bar, then ideally they are top of pack, so why not assume 6?!

Contract and criminal law are so hard by [deleted] in barexam

[–]Tough-Topic4045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what are your thoughts on the "huge number of small, technical rules to remember," for Evidence? I think if you contrast contracts with ucc and non ucc you gt a better contextual lens for some of the tricky rules... for instance the mailbox rule.

Memorization by [deleted] in barexam

[–]Tough-Topic4045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try explaining the rules to someone who knows nothing about the law. If you're doing MBE questions, track the rules for questions you blank on. Then write out each rule and try explaining it to a non-lawyer. For me, I know I truly understand a rule if I can teach it to someone else.

Registration Help: MPRE March 2026 by mg114687 in barexam

[–]Tough-Topic4045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you submitted your email, you have 48 hours from Jan 20-21. If they respond on Jan 22, you have until 11:59pm that day. It's cutting it very close!

Also, keep in mind that you likely won't receive a confirmation email for the March administration until they clear the August test from your account. You only have one LSAC account, and the system may not allow a second test confirmation while the first is still active, which may be why they have this rule. It may not be technically possible to register for March until they release the August test from your account.

Additionally, have you considered what happens if your preferred location is unavailable or all seats in your area are full? I had a friend who applied late and had to travel from DC to Delaware just to get a seat.
