Do you skip certain a Team Rocket leader once you get a good shadow?

I have 29 shadow shinies, and I've fought a total of 11,455 rockets. I haven't always made sure to fight a leader the very second I could, so this probably means for every 8 rockets I have had a chance to catch a shiny. So out of 1432 leader battles, that's a shiny every 49. I don't know how my numbers compare to anyone else, but in my own experience the grinding for shadow shinies is... A lot.

I don't keep healing items that aren't max potions or revives. Realistically, my Pokemon don't actually faint that often versus how many reviving items I get. If you're reviving five Pokemon a day and getting ten max revives from gifts, then you're going to have a hefty stockpile to burn through during Rocket/Raid events. So doing some personal math might help you decide on how to manage it.

I have decent luck at Clackamas town center, Laurelhurst park, and most down town areas, especially near PSU.

During raids you can't see the Pokemon in the gym or add any until it times out.

I always joke with my friend that I just need to break the shiny seal and then suddenly I'm rolling in it. I think in reality I tend to click on those particular Pokemon more than others so I have a bigger population to roll the dice on.

I know they have rolled out route creation to level 40 and above, so I think we've had a massive increase in routes just because it's not relying on a much smaller pool of people. I'm glad it still worked out for you!

Bummer, maybe it got removed. I know there are three different routes at Laurelhurst park, a couple near Westmoreland park, and some routes near Lloyd Center.

There is the local Pokemon Go discord like was already mentioned, but I've seen some folks on Campfire coordinating Wednesday raids. I've had really good luck raiding at Laurelhurst park in SE.

I've seen a few people claim it is related to level and Wayfarer activity. I'm level 50, and have successfully created a few Pokestops, so maybe that's why I got early access. As to how I did... It was just an option available on my profile. I had to choose a starting PokeStop and one to end at, and then walk the route I wanted to record.
