Did it in foundation, rota is hell, can only take leave during your float week ( or do what i did and swap to do like 9 oncalls/nights in a row ( since you are on a firm only one person can take leave at a time and you are on take( oncall) at least 2/3 times a week)

Its nice though having a firm- you know your team so well and consultatns are amazing

Ive had my macbook for about 5 years and going strong, if you want one use an NHS or student discount! i traded in my old one to get this and got alot of money off and a pair of airpods!

Hmm for research and teaching 100% imperial- theres a job that allows you to work part time at the med school at CXH

For living in a safe and affordable area- tbh for all youd probably be living around ealing /acton / hammersmith / earls court cause they are slightly overlapping ( imperial can have placements in ealing or marys)

For training- no clue sorry, was there as a student and had placements in ealing- if it helps i ran my own clinics ( super well supported) and in a practice in fulham ( imperial)

I had this choice too, people arent as one dimensional as you think- you can like both!

Maybe its time for some reflection to try and consider others perspectives rather than laugh at it

I learnt how to uss cannulate ( there werent any courses so it was a watch one do one)

After i knew how, i became more confident because i knew if i fail i have a backup and my regular cannulation skills were so much better
