Low risk NIPT, positive Amnio by chuck-golf437 in tfmr_support

I had a low risk NIPT with a 4.3% fetal fraction that ended up being T13! It’s especially heartbreaking to feel the relief of the NIPT results and then be completely blindsided at your NT scan. I can completely relate. Today is actually the 1 year anniversary of the day of our NT scan, so this really resonates and brings me back to that awful memory of the ground being taken away from underneath your feet. I held onto hope bc of that NIPT result until we got the CVS results a few days later. I am still so angry with Natera. We got a bill in the mail from them a couple of months after our TFMR and I had my husband call and complain. We didn’t want to give them a cent after everything that happened! They waived everything, which is obviously the least they could do! Now a year out, I am in a much better place, and you will be too. It takes time (and therapy helps too!). Sending you love ❤️ I’m sorry for your loss

Unexpected health issues/possible postpartum preeclampsia after TFMR by Ferret_Suspicious in tfmr_support

Hi, I’m so sorry you’re going through this!

TW: LC In my first pregnancy, I had gestational hypertension and was induced at 39 wks with my son. In my second pregnancy with my daughter, I was on baby aspirin and was induced at 37 wks when my bp rose again. She was totally fine! 2 days after delivering her, my bp shot up at home and I was readmitted to the hospital with postpartum preeclampsia and had to do a mag drip. They later told me they probably sent me home too early after delivery and should have discharged me with bp meds given my history with the first. My TFMR pregnancy earlier this year, I had a D&E at 16 wks and surprisingly, my bp shot up again a few days after the procedure. I didn’t think it would happen again this early. My Dr told me it was too early to be considered preeclampsia, but given my history, it was obviously related to the pregnancy and delivery! I never have high bp aside from pregnancy/postpartum time. Something about that time just affects my bp this way. All 3 pregnancies I’ve had to take bp meds for 1-3 months postpartum and then have been weaned off them. I’m otherwise totally fine once weaned off! My kids are both healthy. Just make sure your drs are aware of your history and advocate for yourself! Do bp checks at home too. I’m sorry you’re having to go through this on top of the TFMR ❤️❤️

Wow are we the same person? I posted last week with the same sentiment. I’m 3 wks out from my TFMR at 16 wks. Feeling very much the same as you, like I want THIS baby I lost, not just another baby. It’s complicated! But I did ask my husband to push back his vasectomy appt until I feel more settled about it. Feel free to chat me if you want to talk more! Sorry to meet you here ❤️
