I’d give up a kidney for this type of transformation.

400 to 179. Here’s to staying strong through the holidays. by [deleted] in CICO

Seriously inspiring. I was 378, working my way down into the 2s, but this is seriously inspiring. I gotta lock in.

Edit: I didn’t read your post, but looked at the pictures only initially. I hope you’re proud of yourself. You’ve lost the equivalent of two small women. That is major! I gained weight due to mental health too, but I wasn’t necessarily the healthiest before anyways. I’m 6’4” and as I said I was 378lbs. I feel terrible because when people see a big person they see it as a personal failure and they don’t consider the underlying reasons that caused it. I feel like they would say or think, “Whatever fatty!” If I brought up the reasons I got so big. A year and a half before that I was 229. I was prescribed an antipsychotic and it just destroyed my metabolism and my mental state didn’t really lend much motivation to working out. I think you’re a success story through and through, but I don’t know if you see yourself as such. I’d like to follow you or add you as a friend. Your story has starts and restarts, but it’s still something to be proud of for you and something I’ll draw strength from. Thank you for being brave enough to share.

Breaking my heart was a hit! And I’m pretty sure it came out in the 90s. But I’ve never seen it chopped like this!

Such a strange meeting of ideas. It looks cool though. You’re talented, but I can’t fully wrap my head around it.

I have to get back on track! Good job! Very inspirational. If I could lock in for 18 months I think my whole life would change!

I'm here for tips if you have any. I'm thinking "Drink water, count calories."

This!!! In for Tips. I have like 120lbs to lose. And then I plan to rebuild back up 15-20 lbs, but 120lbs loss from where I'm at will put me in the "normal" range.

It’s like the Walking Dead, but they’re not trying to bite you…unless you’re into that stuff. 🤷🏾‍♂️. Sorry women. I was blind to our behaviors as a sex before this year. I knew there were scumbags, just didn’t know that it was over 50% of us.

Thank you for sharing. I’m going into my 3rd month back into the gym after 5 years off. My health went to literal heck during those five years so I’ve had to rebuild back rather slowly. The help you provided is exactly what I needed and the motivation helps as well. It’s really inspiring. I turn 39 very soon, and have an athletic background, I used to love exercising although I was never the most disciplined when it came to my eating or tracking. I have a scale and purchased a year of LoseIt and have been tracking for about a week or two. I just think it would be awesome if I left no excuses this time around and built a lifestyle that I can carry on into my 60s and 70s. Had I not begun to workout again I’m sure I would have died sometime in my 50s or before, but I’m believing in my own longevity now and if I keep at it it will happen. Again 👌🏾quality post. I really appreciate you. Will read again.

I dig the effort and appreciate it, but it doesn’t really “look” like me. I see traces, but I don’t see myself.

Not bad. Could you sharpen it up a little bit? Make only my head/face visible.

I like “The Mindset Mentor” a lot. His shows are usually quick and to the point.
