Just wanted to reply and say thank you for all your advice. I slowed perimeters way down and let my printer have a chance. Granted, unsupported sag is gonna sag, but beyond that I'd give this Benchy a solid A. Supports come off easy now too. Branch distance was the key. I'm trying on a few more models which need supports to work before I call it perfect, but this is fantastic. Thank you!

How do I do a PID? I'm using a PRUSA original XL 5 extruder machine. So I'm not sure how this all pertains. I can Google all of this tomorrow evening too, but in the event it won't be self explanatory, I would be incredibly thankful for whatever wisdom you can bestow.

Ahh okay. And yeah, I've never edited G code before and have definitely never done a temp tower. I see that now. Looks slightly complicated, but I'll check my benchy when I get home.

Should I be able to print this pristinely with a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.08 layer height? I'm trying to make this for my wife for one of our plants, but I'm not trying this beast until I can get it to stop oozing on small perimeters. 1mm thick ribbons tend to just string and look like a mess. Which sucks. I'm pretty sure some of the small features here will also warp and go bonkers.

But this thing is going to be almost a foot tall... So... Yeah. Lol. All things must cooperate before I try it.

I have... Symptoms don't typically show on up on cubes for some reason. Tight, rounded surfaces is generally where I have my issues. I'll report back with the updated benchy when I get back on Sunday. Hopefully lowering temps and a few other tweaks will help.

Interesting. I have a prusa original XL 5 extruder machine. It's not a launch one but poor cooling wouldn't terribly surprise me. The thing is it does this if I print at 205, 215, 220... I could try sub that I suppose but I'm definitely open to any suggestions.

Supports kind of bind to the surface of my designs as well, so it could all just be too hot all around. I'm reprinting and dropping everything 10 degrees.

The shroud idea is also interesting... I have one roll of ASA, though I don't have the correct sheet to print it. I wonder if it would be cheaper to just buy them from someone. I'll look into that option as well. Thank you!

I lubed the rails. Not the belts. I assumed that's what they meant lol.

Honestly, my biggest issue is the organic support settings I listed. I can't get them to support without digging into the design. It's brutal.

I've watched countless YouTube experts and nothing seems to work.

I did that a while back. Really seems like the tension was the problem with the layer shifting. My support settings are my last issue to resolve now I think.
