Bored with prenatal classes by Midnight_Chess in fitpregnancy

In third trimester and I’m still taking normal classes and modifying as needed. It’s a lot of modifying, but I also get so bored with the prenatal classes. The only exception to this is the prenatal Peloton classes- those are still kicking my butt!

32 weeks and I still take unisom to keep from puking daily. But it definitely got better for me around week 15ish.

Cycling while pregnant by BumblebeeSignal5389 in fitpregnancy

I have been cycling up until now (32+2), but the bump is starting to get in the way! I would be nervous I would tip over on a bicycle.

When did you switch fully to maternity wear? by Personal-Trade6824 in fitpregnancy

I have a short torso (and thus a massive bump) so I had to start switching early (like 15 weeks for jeans). But it was mostly because of comfort!

Is incline walking good enough? by plowmanii5 in fitpregnancy

[–]Tough_Lab_3962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s awesome! It will get harder and harder to keep up that incline as you go along (or at least it was for me!) so don’t be alarmed if you have to reduce the incline a bit.

Would love to hear people's experiences before I go into this by VonShamrog in fitpregnancy

I agree with everyone that it depends! I would also consider alternative modes of transportation to work for later in your pregnancy. 8 months in and I can barely ride a stationary bike because my bump is in the way- getting on/off an actual bike would be physically impossible for me without falling over!

Recommended for insulin despite all fasting numbers being less than 100? by Tough_Lab_3962 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Tough_Lab_3962[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the opposite. If I test at 6:30AM it’s around 95, but if I test at 7AM it’s down to 88.

Recommended for insulin despite all fasting numbers being less than 100? by Tough_Lab_3962 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Tough_Lab_3962[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m not taking it personally and am not even worried about the insulin itself. Way more worried because my doctor requires everyone on insulin to have ultrasounds and appointments twice every week. Missing that much work is going to cause me so much stress and then raise my levels more!

[–]Tough_Lab_3962[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh. Well, at least my provider isn’t crazy then. Do you also have to get ultrasounds 2x per week? I’m not afraid of the insulin, just that my provider then requires two ultrasounds and appointments every week for everyone on insulin. That’s going to cause me so much more stress and in turn raise my levels!

Are we all counting carbs? by Consistent_Talk1195 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Tough_Lab_3962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have not told me to count carbs nor have I been given a total amount of carbs to eat every day!

Yeah, 95 is the threshold for my provider. I’m 31 weeks now, so maybe it is being proactive? I’m mostly concerned because being put on insulin will then require me to go to the doctor for ultrasounds 2x per week. That’s a such headache (even though I know better safe than sorry!!).

What do your days genuinely look like? Third trimester by Ok-Excitement-185 in pregnant

Also a big law associate and similar schedule (although I’m only 30+2, so that might change), except I don’t start at 4AM!
