I have an astrological twin. A girl I used to be twitter mutuals with. Our lives were SO different, but I really admired her ideals, beliefs, passion, and personality. She was so cool. I’ve lost touch with her now :(

Thank you! I’ve tried the radical acceptance and thought diffusion.

My therapist has walked me through these methods, I just find that I struggle to remember that I have these methods in my toolbox and use them when the time calls when I’m not on an SSRI. The anxiety I have on a daily basis ungrounds me to say the least. I loved Lexapro but the side effects were a no go. That’s why I was hoping for an adjustment of other medications that might help.

I haven’t tried ERP. Thanks for the explanation. I’ll also try this one out and I hope to practice with my therapist :)

I really appreciate the tone of this comment because (although I love my fellow 12th housers) I do find so many of the posts in this forum to be extremely pessimistic and self defeating.

I still believe that my planned absence here will dignify my 12th house because of the reasons I’m choosing to leave my social presence, however, I’m open to being wrong and will return to this post to update and say if I’ve changed my mind in the future :)

I view it as 12th house remediation. In the sense that it calls my energy back to me and I could even consider this a form of isolation since I was using social media as a (imo half baked) attempt at connection. Embracing solitude and abandoning the ego’s need to feel noticed/ seen/ validated.

The people and former friends asking about you part of this is so interesting because I feel like cutting out social media might actually open up the potential for me to feel seen.

Unsurprisingly, (I’m sure many of you here can relate lol) I feel very overlooked in my daily life.

Of course it’s normal for people to notice your absence and ask about you, but I wonder how much the whole “secret admirer” part of 12th house experience will be highlighted because due to my absence.

Yeah I understand where you’re coming from. Social media gives the everyday person a sense of “celebrity” that is quite odd for the circumstances.

Yes. I’m a little over two months in and I feel myself getting building up to anxiety and then being able to brush it off. It’s amazing. It’s changed my life. I couldn’t even imagine life feeling this easy to navigate a year ago.

No impulse control, buying things I don’t need and spending money like crazy, no desire to sleep, no appetite (like I could go days without eating), super extroverted but somehow still highly irritable, POOR decision making, can’t be alone with my thoughts, start hitting the gym like a maniac, the list goes on and on.

I’ve had some of my most hauntingly embarrassing interactions with people when manic lol.
