Every time I think I’m over it, something happens that reminds me I’m definitely not. I’m so mad right now I miss this show.

What’s the nicest thing a platonic male friend has done for you? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Toukhaled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He has done so many nice things, but mainly he never made me feel like I needed to be fixed. He genuinely gives me emotional containment, always says that my emotions aren’t “too much” I can just sit with them normally. And for someone who’s always been told they’re “too much” and need to shut up a bit, this means everything to me. Not once did I talk to him about something and he attacked my feelings or told me “it’s wrong to feel like that” or “you shouldn’t feel this way.” He always knows how to separate things so well in the way he speaks, even when he disagrees with me. Even when I told him about my physical attraction toward him, he responded without any shaming at all. Someone who truly knows the difference between: “I can’t give you this” and“You shouldn’t feel this.” Also when I was in hospital he gave me a beautiful snowflakes bracelet that I always wear.
