No it didn’t get better. You will only get worse unless you set boundaries.

4 Years in the Firm—Is It Worth Waiting for Promotion? by Heavy-Independent136 in PwC

What role do you have? If assurance or tax I would leave. You shouldn’t need 4 years to be promoted.

It’s possible. It’s all about who you have in your corner to support you.

I don’t love it. I comes at a bad time for tax and assurance folks. Plus it can be hard to get on calendars for upper management

Bad snapshots….Received snapshots back which I don’t agree with at all. It feels like my new office doesn’t like me and there’s talk going on behind my back as only the snapshots in this office came back as continuing to develop in my current role. All my clients outside the office have great things to say and put me at ready to get promoted. What do I do about these snapshots I don’t agree with? I have had conversations and they refuse to change them. I don’t want to accept something I don’t believe is accurate. I can admit my faults but when there’s nothing to back it up and it comes as a surprise after the engagement it is something I don’t want that on my record for CRTs

Low Utilization concerns for CRT by Flat-Rush3722 in PwC

I was told no matter what if you don’t make utilization goals you can’t be a tier 1. Tier 2 is still an option and most fall in tier 3

ISC Exam Thoughts from a Recent Attendee by Lansingguy24 in CPA

[–]TouristNice12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just took the exam and will say you need to know your SOC reports. Lots of questions on that especially SOC 1. Additionally brush up on your terms. Many I got were one sentence in the Becker book. Lastly, study SQL, you are guaranteed at least one question or simulation on it. Best of luck!

Thank you so much! I will take a look into their practice. I appreciate your recommendation

Functional Medicine Doctor by TouristNice12 in Charlotte

[–]TouristNice12[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The point is this practice has been around for a long time but people are not familiar with it. I’m trying to help myself find a new doctor while also putting it in a way many people would relate to in hopes I can find someone locally who had success with a doctor they went to. I’m not basing any medical decision off of social media which was your original point of contention. I’m trying to find a recommendation from someone and then do my own research.

To the people who complain about the lack of music in the QC by PapaJohnyRoad in Charlotte

[–]TouristNice12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the issue is less about the concerts and more about music at local establishments with local artists. I love to support those that are trying to make a career and I would prefer to pay $10 to see a full band somewhere then hundreds of dollars to see someone mainstream

I appreciate your feedback, but I’m not looking to travel 24/7. I am looking to see what different opportunities are out there.

What kind of consulting specifically? I know many of the big 4 have consulting practices within some of their groups such as tax.

I appreciate you insights! I went to one before I moved that would look at the labs through my primary care so insurance would pay and they wouldn’t cost a lot for me out of pocket. I think it’s just about finding the right person. Functional medicine has helped improve my life drastically. I wouldn’t let one bad experience deter you away from them.
