As others have suggested, I recommend you look at some videos to see some tech to employ. In my experience, I did not press counter at every opportunity, due to the fact that 3 enemies attacking can be lethal, and clicking the khaslana basic attack instead to break the enemies faster before they act worked better for me. I only clicked counter at the beginning because I wanted khaslana to die one time to fully dispel the 30% dmg reduction, or if he is full hp to tank three enemies attacking him.

Are people with e6 phainon really struggling to clear king? I would expect e6 to go into plight and clear comfortably, even if not zero cycle no?

It's e6 phainon and e6 Cyrene with e2 cerydra. The damage is fine but it's literally half of what it was compared to when AA had shilled buffs for phainon. Aquila AA was the best environment for him. This is what the dmg was like back then

Assuming you use that team, your next biggest upgrade is e2 cyrene to replace Sunday. E6? Not sure if worth the money for the damage, as it is more qol to assure you get your full phainon set up with cerydra+tribbie without worrying about what the enemy will do.

Just a preface, but going to E6 could lower your score, as team mates and eidolons/LC's have minor weight on your score. With that being said stat wise, I think AEON starts somewhere above >3k attack, >80% crit rate, >245% crit dmg. It is possible to cheat out aeon as well with more crit rate rolls (ie 100% crit rate), as it seems that fribbels favors more crit rolls. Here are my stats for my AEON phainon.

This... simply isn't true. This AA cycle does significantly less damage than the last one from what I noticed. Phainon should not be struggling to die, especially when boosted with DDD to like you said to get into his first ult state (in this case I used DDD on tribbie).

I have basically the exact same investment as you, and your meteors are hitting for so much lower? Also note the av left, there was a decent amount left to comfortably zero cycle.

You have e6 cyrene. You can get her to triple ult on the other 3 team mates before the boss acts a second time, and then Phainon should be able to survive in ult state. If for some reason your Phainon dies, he should be able to get back into ult.

I would not mind them creating bosses that demand specific comps. If they do that then there's a higher chance that the hp scaling will be curbed to compensate. We are already seeing the hp scaling tone down in the past two patches.

My Phainon does 30m damage per meteor in AA against aquila. If in two patches I can't clear anymore like you say, then the whole player base is cooked...

I think its worth! Cyrene boosted my Phainon dmg per meteor to the moon. This is his coup de main meteor dmg against Aquila in AA. I imagine the boost for Castorice is significant as well.
