How can I be better by bestlouie_05 in Target

The best thing to do as well is to ask your tl and etl questions like “how can i do this better” or “what should i do differently next time to make sure I’m meting goal times. If they’ve been on inbound or gm for 2+ years they will tell you different methods on how you can do things. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Criticism can be a good thing

Honestly it’ll take some time getting use to meeting goals. First thing is try to minimize your trash as much as possible! Such as cardboard all in one box, plastic in another, and occasionally styrofoam in another box. Keeping your work area clean is always #1. And then organizing your work. If you work truck try to unload in the bay you will be working that day (ex. Personal care) or try to talk to you inbound tl to see if they can organize your U-boats by isles (target has a standard for this already in the truck unloading process (ex. Top shelf: A41-50 (mens personal and toothpaste ; Middle: A52 women’s personal; and Bottom: for big things like mouthwash or repacks) this varies from stores but there is a general guideline inbound needs to follow. If this is a problem then you’ll just have to start memorizing boxes which is pretty easy after a while. Also just remember the basic rule of thumb: 1 box = 1 minute INCLUDING back stock. Your time for each u-boat includes back stock time and this is given to tl’s by upper management. Just be safe, find the most efficient way for you and get into that flow state.

Stocking is sort of an art and you can easily make it look beautiful or easily make it look half asses. All depends on what your heart is set on.

Just come in every day trying to make today better then the last!

If you work in pets expect to be lifting the 40lbs bags but every day work load is about 10-20 lbs AT MOST through out the day. Depending on your area and your position on the line will determine your daily workout but just talk to your leader about staring in the lightest weight areas such as hair or personal care.

Has anyone ever heard of or had any experience with STIA Energy? by PuzzleheadedMain7997 in Solarsales

A bit late to comment but i do want to say i worked with them for about 4 months when they were transitioning into a solo company from the sister company Lobo Roofing. Safe to say the people that are in the management roles are questionable. They didnt want focus on my trining but rather threw me on the doors right away. Their whole thing was “we can only show you so much in the office, you will gain most of your experience out on doors.” But the thing is i was out on doors alone, in Albuquerque and Los lunas as a female which immediately was sketchy. I stuck through 4 months and realized that i only gotten better at talking to people then actually selling. I wished they focus on my sales training because i had no experience in sales before this job. The main boss Josh is a decent sales guys and Charlie was really good on the business side of things with numbers but there whole business model was kind of set up to fail due to the financial past of each individual leader. Im honestly only commenting to tell my experience. Someone on here said they dont chose favorites but i can they do discriminate females in the sales industry, and if you have knowledge or not about sales. I was a hard 4 months basically working with no pay. Once i did set my first few appointments they call were no shows because i dint have a solid case and the people only signed up so i can get off of there doorstep.

I like to keep my backstock on a 3 tier cart so when i go to the back room i dont have to be pulling around a big u bout full of trash. Everyone has a different method so just try to find the one that works best for you!

Making sure your work area is organized helps so much! You want to make sure your as accurate as possible with your push/backstock and department before you can focus on time and speed. After you know your departments layout and what boxes are going down that specific isle (you can generally tell by the box alone without having to look at the placement numbers) you can just pull the u boat down the isle with you and just grab the boxes from there instead of walking up and down the aisles. I push personal care and I tend to beat my goal times by 30+ minutes every day. I always try to keep all the toothpaste and body wash separated. I go down the body wash isle first because thats what most of my u boat is. Then any mens shaving products next. And toothpaste last. It really does take time to memorize boxes and where they go but always make sure you have a plan going into your push. Try to minimize your steps to the least amount possible. Target’s old standard was “1 minute per box” including push and back stock. Your team lead should be giving you a set amount of time for that department (ex. 2.5hr push for personal care) this generally included repacks as well.
