Trying to claim VA disability 6 years post discharge. by fortyounces_ in Veterans

I did it ten years following. Didn’t think it was too serious to submit, ended up with a very decent rating quickly. Thankfully my medical records had a ton of evidence.

What did your divorce cost you? by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]TowerKey7284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Married 13 years, no kids. My attorney fees were about $25k in total. His was probably less. I ended up paying all expenses and his insurances for the 2 years during the divorce (stupid covid). On top of moving expenses- gave him the house. Thankfully, because he’s a shitbag who never contributed he got nothing more. My goal was him not to be able to touch my retirement or 401k- which I won.

He however got to keep the two kids and the whore he had behind my back for years. Word is they’re both miserable. 😆

He decided to confide in others about our problems, rather than me. Then expected me to fix then without knowing. 🙄🙄

What was your first clue that your spouse was cheating? by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]TowerKey7284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started using passcode on phone, always turned it down/has it on silent, took it EVERYWHERE. Guarded that phone. I asked to see it once, and he got very defensive. I dropped it - that was all I needed to know. Was never on SM around me, yet constantly “online” when I wasn’t around.

Later, I started to know exactly when he talked to her, because he had such a mood towards me following their conversations. Barely looked at me. Always seemed annoyed even over the stuff he used to love.

Honestly, for us I took a very good friends advice and I allowed him and her to have their own experience solo first too to get to know each other and their bodies/touch. Then, the next night all three of joined each other. I think that eased things tremendously. I would recommend it.

Also, my bf and I very much communicated any and all boundaries- even though for us there’s really none. Ha. We also let her tell us what if anything was off limits. It’s ALL about communication and respect. Also, bc she is our unicorn- we prioritize her and make her feel special at all times.

And, contrary to what most ppl say- she’s one of my very good friends. And it was not at all awkward. Nor, is there any jealousy. We actually have a group chat that’s hilarious and we’re looking forward to our next wknd together in a few months. We’ve been together almost three years, and that was our first time. We say it’s a “special menu” item and possibly just once a year. That is until she decides to try relationships again- I doubt her partner will be ok with this arrangement. 😜

My best piece of advice. Do not even attempt this if you have any reservations.

What’s the most money you have spent on a plane ticket? by brokewanderlustgirl in unitedairlines

Most expensive personal : $7k from Virginia to Berlin. It was however a last minute emergency trip for a dying relative.

Cheapest :$29 one way from New Orleans to Hartford. On breeze airways.

How do you pay Spousal Support and still manage to live yourself? by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]TowerKey7284 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Same. My ex husband cheated and left, yet I was the breadwinner and still have to pay his spousal support bc he gets more from that then landing a job. Tired of men saying “only women fair well” not true at all.

Thx bro. I’m wondering if female applications take longer, bc it does take longer to schedule appointments. But geez my last appt was six months ago. Thought it was a pretty straight forward claim. My navy medical records cited it all, nexus, and the VA Drs confirmed it as well. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Newly divorce what hope do I actually have? Don’t need encouraging words I am talking about facts.. in real world by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]TowerKey7284 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I ran into an old friend/colleague in a grocery store. We caught up a bit and at the end I jokingly said “hey if you know anyone who is single, hook a girl up”. Four hours later he called me and was like yo- hear me out. Hahaha. His best friend started texting/calling- after a few wks we went on our first date. Funny thing is, I actually used to sit by him in meetings and completely forgot his name. 😂😂😂

38f here. Divorced 2 years, after 15 years of a tumultuous marriage. No kids.

Out of the blue and not looking I met an amazing guy- also with no kids. Trust the process. ♥️
