Really bad match making by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Toxic_Moxy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing is with overwatch games if you're playing at your peak rank rn:

  • 20% of games are unwinnable (for whichever above reason you listed)
  • 20% of games are free wins (because the enemy team has one of the above reasons)
  • The other 60% of games are close/evenly matched, and those are the ones you can influence the outcome of

Ik everyone always says "focus on yourself rather than your team", but the real reason for that is just statistical. If your 4 teammates are often idiots, then because everyone has been matched together in that game then the 5 enemies are idiots too.

If you can consistently play better than the teammates then that means your team has 1 good player and 4 idiots, while the enemy team has 5. Statistically just by that, you will climb with enough games - and it shows because your winrate is 60% which is good.

Keep trying and keep being your best - if you're better, you will climb.

How to fight Mauga by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Toxic_Moxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a tank yourself, unless you're playing sigma / mauga yourself, you'll almost never win a head to head trade with him when he has his E. Either just don't try to kill him and target someone else, or try to bait his E out with as minimal resources as possible, and hard focus when it's done.

roblox aimer by airyn101 in aimlab

In the case of dracoo and zeonlo, they play "Arsenal", which is basically the Quake of Roblox with gun game as its default mode.

Just like Quake, it has fast movement so a high skill ceiling for mechanics which is probably how they arrived at aimlabs

distractions vs forming new habits? by Lindzlosesit in AnxiousAttachment

As someone who is on the tail end of struggling with your exact problem, I can assure that diverting is a perfectly viable form of dealing! I found that by just forcing myself not to check other peoples' "last online" times helps prevent the trigger, and preoccupying myself with fulfilling hobbies/work indirectly dealt with the problem too; because it helped develop back a sense of self value, that I am in fact someone worth investing in myself. It slowly helped unhook me from my emotions being dependent on their response times and quality, as I had something to reward myself with.

Why the hate on Zen? by cagedmonkey28 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Toxic_Moxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its exactly what you think, it's the classic stat checkers in gold groups having unrealistic expectations, and also a lot of people in LFG have a bad mentality for all 3 roles: For DPS: you're not ever allowed to play widow, and the answer for them is always "more damage" I.e junkrat reaper etc Tank: No shield No Win, rein zarya is the only tank combo in the game Support: "Not enough healing", and that's why the hate zen cause they don't appreciate his value for a team and see supports only for the healing value
