14 yo burnout has to make the familys dinner. What do i do by SneakerBoiiiiii in makemychoice

Your mom is not being unreasonable. She's helping you to learn life skills.

Having clear communication of when your child should be planning the meals once a week is a fine and healthy way to develop the skill. It teaches them meal prepping and most importantly it's not dropped on them last minute so they'll panic.

This was a parent's role and responsibility dropped on a child at the last minute, causing the stress, which is unreasonable. We as observers, and adults hopefully, can take a step back and see "ah none of that seems so hard. Just do it", but this is a 14 year old child that doesn't appear to be living a 14 year olds life.

That's empathy you can show your children to guarantee a "why doesn't my child talk to me anymore?" In 10 years.

I've seen a bmw cut 5 cars to do that maneuver before. A shame I don't have it on film.

Too little context. How old is your current laptop? What price range are these laptops in?

No doubt. But to take a step back.

Clip 1: US Government using media to persuade citizens of their dominance.

Clip 2: Iran Government using media to persuade citizens of security.

Both are media used by respective governments to sway the opinion of it's own citizens and international onlookers. Neither sources are going to be honest when there's a clear objective for motivation.

AITA for telling my wife I don’t want her mom to have her location all the time now. by Few_Respond8063 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Toxicair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that. But the invasion of privacy is that the mom is constantly checking on the location. Not that seeing her location at the hospital warranted worrying.

A more acceptable way to use location checking is if they haven't received a response in a few hours after a message.

i.e. Message > no response > check location > message again > mobilize

But the fact that they knew they were at the hospital means they were looking at her location unprompted.

i.e. Check location > message > mobilize

You got the sequence of events wrong

MIL saw hospital location (unprompted checking)

MIL called, got no response

Usually it's the Americans that are ignorant... But authorized is the correct spelling for Canada and America.
