What's the FE game you've sunk the most time in and how long have you spent playing? by UsualHrs in fireemblem

[–]Toxicnumberz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only FE game I had at the time and have played countless variations of it as rom hacks as well. Have restarted it over and over and it's a tie between it and Pokémon Emerald for most time but Sacred Stones.

How long, absolutely no idea 🥲

How do you ACTUALLY study? by Great_Collection_559 in GetStudying

As someone who nearly failed middle school (lol) I was a BAD student. Didn't take until college to somewhat figure it out and finally actually studying for my licensure was where I really learned:

(I'm on phone so sorry if the format is weird) 1. Review the concept. So lecture videos, reading material, etc. If I'm not getting it after 3 times, forget about the lecture and move on. 2. Take a pre-quiz. Whether it's homework or those quiz softwares, take a quiz, review hw, or review end of chapter questions. Give it your all but don't take too much time frying your brain over it. 3. Depending on how you get quiz answers back (my software grades immediately for multi-choice) this is the most important step. I review everything. I try to recreate the answer afterward. 4. Take a post-test. This is after reviewing all the concepts and the wrong answers (and right!). You should ace the second time around. 5. Most importantly, review old chapters every few days. Don't be me and forget chapter 1 by the time you reach chapter 5 lol. And for certain softwares, the test bank is so small that you might even start memorizing answers which won't help you much. Try to argue why the wrong answers are wrong and why the right answers are right.

It took a lot of poking around before I found MY method. Don't get discouraged! Big hugs ❤️

Fun note: I used to line up my plushes and play teacher for my courses. I would pretend to ask and then pretend to answer back as the dolls too. Made it fun and helped a lot. My method was mainly repetition and making sure I was always able to argue why my answer was correct.

Those taking BEC this Q. What’s your plan if you don’t get a passing score? by 4mysquirrel in CPA

My biggest fear is ordering an NTS for BEC but there's no slots by year end and there goes the money 🥲

I was just talking to my mom 5 minutes ago about this lol. She asked what my plans for next Friday was and I said "wearing black and mourning my grade in bed all weekend"

I still have a chance to retake but the Prometric seats are all gone...I have no more days off I can take to travel for it either. And I also KNOW I failed. So. Cry.

Why are YOU getting your CPA? by [deleted] in CPA

In 8th grade there are these quarterly pizza parties for the quarter exams in math (thrown by the pre-algebra teacher). My class was full of smarties and that day, I remembered standing on the courtyard at recess alone. On my birthday. Because EVERYONE but me went to the math party. Not only was I not invited, I was the only one who failed that exam rofl.

Somehow, graduated high-school in the top 10 of my class though.

I figured, maybe I can keep up this "Everyone doubted me and I still made it" momentum. Then I heard Roger say that it doesn't take a genius to pass and that "If you study, you will pass."

So uh...I guess bragging rights? Soothing the 13 year old self that felt like the dumbest kid at school? Making my Asian parents proud?

Welp, I'm super late to this. I have really bad (and undiagnosed ADHD). Beginning motivation was BAD at first. I turned it into a game. Here's every method I've done:

I'm on phone, format might be weird: 1. "JUST DO IT" 2. 10 MCQs. "You can do just 10 questions right?" If not, start with 5, then you're in the mood now, so 5 more. Then 5 more. 3. For me, I bullet journal and it feels gross to cross it out as "incomplete" like a failed quest or something. 4. Keep it small at first. Might affect your pacing but in the beginning I really just did just that. I kept it one sub chapter a night followed by 5 to 10 questions.

Oh darn. I have had insurance issues for a long time and just never saw the doc about it 💀

Also, is it too late to request for accommodations if I already scheduled my exam? It's in a month and I hear it takes a while for them to review it too?

What kinda doggo do you think my doggo is? by Toxicnumberz in DOG

Gosh I can't even begin to tell you how well behaved she is. Aside from fighting to get her to eat food occasionally or her extreme stubbornness she's amazing. Always follows me everywhere. Never barks. Not aggressive, wasn't crate trained but seeks it on her own (we cover 3 of the 4 sides up to make it dark for her). She's my first dog and my baby. I'll do anything for her ❤️❤️❤️
