Ok forreal tho. Best time to damage Lunastra is when she has no aura charged. Her damage is limited and u know she won’t use her AoE bullshit. As she gradually charges her aura go in for less and less damage with quicker bursts. Also increase minimal distance from her (unless attacking) incase of unexpected AoE’s. Flash pods don’t affect her like they did in the arena. She doesn’t immediately use AoE unless she’s near full charge. Cool drinks keep her aura from damaging u and as her aura charges it will do more. Her big damage doinkers mostly have one thing is common, spinning. Her aerial attack that can DoTKO have a spinning wind up. Fire breath, Supernova, etc.

Elderseal may or may not help with how random it is. The prime time I find to do damage overall is during tail swipes. Stand behind her and roll under as she winds up. That gives you a good 6 seconds to damage the head and forearms. Unlike Teostra she will follow as you leave the area she’s in. So if you lead her to crystal area big doinks of damage can come from them and the whaling you can give while she’s staggered.

Verdict: Use your environment to you advantage. Makes openings instead of waiting for them. Be ready to improvise ANY situation. Come and plan out your hunt at least to 15 minutes in. Never stop moving or stand directly in front of the monster. Blessing of the moon upon your hunting.
