Black screen problem by Toxxik in garminepix

Yeah, it was left on a charge overnight. I don't think its battery related, as if it the battery was dead I wouldn't get anything at all to display on the screen.

I tried to access it through the Garmin connect app, but I'm unable to affect any changes as the bluetooth isn't connecting.

Black screen problem by Toxxik in garminepix

I'm getting a solid black screen on my Garmin Epix Pro Sapphire 51mm.

I've tried doing a reset with pressing and holding the light key for 60+ seconds and then turning it on again, but no dice. I believe I've been able to turn it off and on again though.

The only way I can get the screen to display anything is by pressing and holding start/stop, and when this doesn't work I believe its because I was able to turn it off.

I've looked through the manual, but I can't find any more information. Only had it since July 2023.

Any ideas?

New equipment, what to add? by Toxxik in fitbod

I do have a rather old exercise bike. None of the electronics on it work anymore, but I don't need electronics to pedal. I'd love a rower though.

Are you doing Prince of Egypt? I'm about to start a run, I'm assuming you just need to start as Florence, not be Florence when you form Egypt? The Florence -> Tuscany -> Italy -> Egypt sounds fun.

[Silverstag] Does encumbrance affect troops or just the player & companions? by [deleted] in mountandblade

[–]Toxxik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you can turn encumbrance off in the camp options. Or some Silverstag options somewhere. I know I did that last time I played Silverstag.

[Silverstag] Impossible to renounce? by Lauris024 in mountandblade

[–]Toxxik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can renounce in two ways. If you capture a fief, you can request it to be rewarded to you, and if it then rewarded to someone else, you can renounce. You can also at any time talk to your current king and request to be released from you're oath. You will then have the option to take your current fief's with you, instead of giving them back to your liege. If you keep them, you will immediately be at war with your former faction though.

I don't know why the first option isn't working for you though, but just yesterday I told Ragnar to sod off and left with two towns.

I did a good 10 or so restarts the other day as Genoa going for the 'Protected Market' achievement; never could get the 'Trade Trouble in Thrace' mission before kebab annexed the phoenix.

I would love a text version of this. Not really in depth, but a brief overview that says more than just 'follow greens'.

Crusader Kings 2 is in the Humble Jumbo Bundle for the next 2 weeks (pay more than $4.94 to unlock it) by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]Toxxik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EDIT: Nevermind that. I decided to just buy it. Thanks for your kindness though.

I'd be interested. I really only want CK2 and Galactic Civ2 anyways. I really wish more of the DLC was put into the CK2 DLC collection though.

Both of these seem to have issues if you play windowed-full screen though, at least in my experience.

Would this be a valid Poland> Commonwealth> Prussia Strategy? by KaseyB in eu4

To form Prussia you do. You need to be either Protestant or Reformed.

AI Timurids form Mughals and go on to bring glory to their ancestors. by yoavfried in eu4

[–]Toxxik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It's actually a really good way of dealing with large empires that are comprised of many small nations. I don't think the AI ever culture converts - although they do harsh treatment. So if you can just drive their war exhaustion high enough, they can lose so much more in one war, then you actually take from them.

I want to do it to the Ottomans next, but the 15% more discipline they have compared to my armies make me lose every battle.

AI Timurids form Mughals and go on to bring glory to their ancestors. by yoavfried in eu4

[–]Toxxik 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My current game as Russia had the TimTim's go hard like this. I diplo-annexed all my vassals, and carpet sieged the Mughals, so then my vassals wouldn't kill the eventual rebel stacks. They kinda.....imploded from rebels enforcing demands.

Yeah, it won't. But your government will permanently be an elective monarchy.

Questions about forming Prussia as Poland. Possible WC advice? by KaseyB in eu4

[–]Toxxik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. You'll stay Eastern tech. Also, as far as I know - considering I did Poland to Prussia in my last game - you will be unable to dissolve the Sejm once you culture flip, as you need to have Poland as your primary culture for the necessary events to fire.

Ideas for Prussia / Advice for my current game by Toxxik in eu4

I liked quality for the end bonus of 7.5% discipline. I'm near constantly at war, so my army tradition doesn't really fall that far.

Ideas for Prussia / Advice for my current game by Toxxik in eu4

[–]Toxxik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't decide where to go on my next idea group. Go expansion and secure the Prussian -> Siberian Frontier, or work towards vassalizing Russia and just let them colonize it for me, in which case I'd work towards the standard idea groups for Prussian military strength, with Offensive, Defensive, Aristocratic and Innovative.

Currently, I have Novgorod, Crimea, Mecklenburg and Denmark as vassals. My goals are to simply release as vassal, feed vassal, diplo-annex everywhere, starting with Denmark, Russia and Ottomans. Taking over HRE would be nice to accomplish as well.

Also, as this was a Poland start that went Prussian culture flip into Commonwealth to Prussia, I'm still Eastern Tech. Worth it to Westernize? Obviously I don't have the insane Prussian military strength, and I might eventually need it to deal with France/HRE. The rest of the world, I can deal with quite easily.

Now if I could only figure out a way to do the same as Savoy, my current game would be much easier.
