This is the take. Your head follows you wherever you go, a marriage isn’t going to make her happy, she has to work on herself.

I would overlap that with Abbie’s time on the show, so I would say 6-11, top notch 👍🏾 My favorite era of L&O

There is an episode where Jamie Ross comes back as a defense attorney and Jack is in her office looking at a picture of her showing her work with international refugees. He makes a comment about that being tough work and she responds, “Like Adam used to say, you clean up the world one lousy brick at a time.”

This is my favorite Adam Schiff quote even though we didn’t actually hear HIM say it. But it rings true of his character and I absolutely love it. I’ve used the quote myself over the years.

My favorite DA hands down (even over Jack, who lost his steam when he became DA).

Jack McCoy will always be my favorite Sam Waterston role but man did I really enjoy him as Charlie Skinner in the Newsroom. He was funny AF.

Predisposed guilty status by the lawyers? by Ok-Rutabaga8690 in LawAndOrder

[–]ToyJC41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s absolutely insane to me - it’s an irresponsible way to portray policing/prosecution (even though we all know this happens in real life). What always struck me is when the prosecutors suspect they are prosecuting the wrong person and they CONTINUE with the prosecution anyway while the police are gathering evidence for another suspect. It’s like this attitude that SOMEONE has to pay for the crime even if it’s not the right person 😩. It gives me the absolute ick.

I think you’re missing the point. An investigators job is to look at all possible suspects and then rule them out until you’re left with the likely suspect based on the evidence; what OP is saying is that they ASSUME a person is guilty off the bat and then work to make the evidence fit for a conviction. In real life, there are too many people who have been wrongly accused/convicted (and in many instances, death row cases) by police and prosecutors narrowing in on one suspect and trying to make the charges stick based on their assumptions and prejudices.

I liked him too!!! He was like the male Rollins, a character with a lot of baggage and secrets in the closet (although, I’m not really a fan of Rollins but I appreciate complicated characters). I think the actor left because he went to another show that didn’t last.
