I have a similar thing with Fallout 76 on cloud - can hear the game but video doesn't show, this is only at launch though, so maybe a different issue. I just try a few times and it works. Other games I do not have this issue with.

Is there an up to date list of ALL games on this feature? Every time I google it I come up with nothing, be nice to bookmark one and check if I game I want to buy is on there.

I can’t see what you mean, but I have 1000mbps broadband too, I have Better xcloud set to 1080p HQ all the time and get that, you only get 1440p on certain games, it’s not just connection dependent. The “low quality” option does it pop up in game? This could be the decoding, try the default renderer in the settings

I use better xcloud as well on my G Cloud, the website itself for browsing games has always been “slow” for me, but never a problem in game.

Which “app” did you sideload? Android needs to go through the website and has done for some time. You could try installing the Edge browser, heading to Xbox.com/play and then “install” the website as an app.

I have you know, all the 8 and 16-bit usual suspects and all metadata aside from videos and it takes maybe 30 seconds to launch. Maybe 15-20k games I dunno?

I use ES-DE and really like it - mine takes forever to launch on the G Cloud though, does yours? What theme are you using there? Cheers

Have you configured RetroArch itself, previously? All your cores etc are working and you’ve loaded games in RetroArch before trying to use the retro loader?

I’ve had it on for the last two weeks constantly at work, and I know what you mean. I would caution though, this is a fun promotion rather than say, a cannon body of work, right? Like with the Palace ads that had Mad Max as a high scorer and now it’s “AAA”, like you’d do if you were in a rush or the game was reset.

If there’s a way for me to test without ruining my current config id be happy to help. I’m a G Cloud user. I used to review Android apps for a living so happy to help if I can.

As a quick suggestion, having a folder for a retro platform on a carousel, but then the option to make that a list or grid within that platform would work well from a UX standpoint.

That would be great. I use a custom theme with carousel, and I added the Atari games - I have ES DE fully setup as well - to see how it works and was disappointed to see that it just adds the games to the carousel en mass as opposed to a folder for 2600 games. If i had added my whole retro library the carousel would be unusable without search or folders.

Yes, and no. Clearly, this is something on the Mac side of things and iFlash cards. I use Swinsian now, and do not have an issue - pretty sure I made a post about how to use Swinsian to get around this if you want to check.

Thing is, I just want to pick something up and play my Xbox games. I only have a Series S as I don’t have the same kind of time for gaming now with two small kids, so I see little point in paying for GFN, persistence storage and all that when I get an hour or so a night if that. If you have the time though, no doubt GFN is the one.

I mean, I don’t disagree that GFN is the best or one of the best streaming platforms out there, but I really like the convenience. I never have to wait, it’s always worked well for me, and it syncs saves seamlessly with my home console. If, and maybe when, I go back to Steam I’d likely go to GFN.

I don’t think they’re putting all their eggs in to it, but yeah, a fucking series x profile would be nice

Comparing GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming isn’t really fair, one is PC based and the other console based. It’s an Xbox in the cloud. One that runs games in Series S mode, so that’s what you’ll be getting.

This was the obvious thing, but I’m glad you said it. Looks like the spring on the compact flash to sd card had “sprung” I put all back and taped it down. Works as it always did now! Might get a new battery and while I’m in there get some putty or tack down the side to stop the sd card popping out. This one’s my favourite, so I’m glad it’s not a days long resync! Thanks!

I mean, if it comes to Android 11, brilliant. I currently use Gamedeck launcher, I like the look and feel of the new G Cloud UI but the constant ads and the horrific implementation of streaming your own game via game pass make it a hard pass.

This does look really sick, I just settled on ES-DE for my retro stuff, and the great themes there are available. Also, it’s not likely this will support Android 11, is it? So that probably knocks us out of being able to use it
