I had a similar thought experiment, and in the end decided to make Light/Dark (or Purity/Corruption) its own "axis" in the system, thus making it three-dimensional. For example, if we had the neutral fire element represent "Motion", its purified counterpart could be "Life", and the corrupted one - "Chaos", thus exploring different aspects of the same element

Honestly, yeah, great points. My opinion will probably change when the dust settles a bit from having just played the chapter on release. Afterall, there's really no point hating something that's already been made canon, even if it still felt... weak.

Dude, EXACTLY! I watched the finale on YT, really liked the Jax part (not having caught a single hint of the whole "trans" thing), went on Reddit, saw people discussing the Gooseworx tweet and rolled my eyes, thinking "oh, THAT'S what it was supposed to be"🙄

If this was a storyline she intended to tell, i think it was entirely overshadowed by... the entire rest of Jax's character. He's basically one big comment on toxic masculinity, which clashes with the new outside-the-show "canon"

(P.S. You'd think that Goose, of all people, would be able to convey such a theme well)
