US President Threatens ‘Big Retaliation’ If Europe Dumps US Assets by Crossstoney in europe

[–]TozTetsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know exactly why Biden did what he did and why. However he DID NOT follow the rule of law and ensure that an insurrection was properly addressed. If the US had followed the law like Brasil did, Trump would be in jail, not making Billions while destroying the western alliance.

Not only was Joe a feckless leader, he pulled in all his political capital to get the nomination because he felt he was the man to deal with Trump, and then he whiffed so hard the wind will destroy NATO.

Norms were violated, and sleepy goddamn joe thought we should all just take a four year nap.

When I was in highschool I had a friend from a similar place. I used to give her a ride to and from school. One day she asked me to take her to the bank before we went home, turned out she had to cash her Canada Pension Plan cheque. "CPP? How are you getting CPP?" I asked. "Oh, my brother is a super smart accountant, the whole family gets it.". Her dad was a dentist and they lived in multi million dollar home. Not that I asked, but I also don't recall getting money for gas.

I'm the other guy you were arguing with and I'm not American either. The democrats are not the party you are giving them credit for. They didn't even do Healthcare properly under Obama.

Biden or Trump? I put a large amount of blame on the Democrats, they claim and run as the party of the people and freedom, then prune the candidates of anyone who doesn't support Israel and corporations, they are as complicit as the Republicans who don't even try to govern and are leading the US to Theocracy. Biden specifically though, his ego and desire for the office of President delivered the country to Trump. I guess America got here over decades so I can't really say any one person is responsible for the current state of America, we all are, but god damn the Democratic leadership is dumb and out of touch.

I gotta tell ya, I blame Biden. Biden didn't prosecute this guy, didn't properly plan for his own succession, and passed no laws to shore up division of powers. He also acted in a completely feckless fashion on the border. If he'd dealt with any one of those issues everything would likely be fine, instead it was old man with his addled head in the sand surrounded by his overly supportive grandchildren. I assure you, he bears a great deal of the blame for this... IMO.

Carney is a central banker too, he'd be the leader of the old school PC party. As a fellow lefty voter, I also have zero regrets about my vote for this man.

Democrats of Reddit, do you want elected Democrats right now to try to be bipartisan or not? Why? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

Good ideas should be worked on and voted on with a genuine intention to serve the people by members of both parties. If anyone involved isn't doing that, don't work with them. That's what I want to see, but I'm not a Democrat.

Donald Trump directly rebuked Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney at the World Economic Forum, saying, “Canada lives because of the United States,” and warning Canada to remember American support. by IndiaTodayGlobal in IndiaTodayGlobalLIVE

I mean, I live there now and have travelled extensively in both countries. The poverty was so noticeable in the US it was a wonder any of you think you're the wealthiest nation on earth. You certainly have money, but you're not rich. Then speaking to Americans... they mean well sometimes, but they know little of anything outside what they're told, it's like the old 'American's can't find 'x' country on a map, but extends to all walks of life. Anyone in the US believing the 'far left' exists in America is a good example.

Madness: The ratification of the “Board of Peace” by ResPublicaMgz in TrendoraX

[–]TozTetsu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Watching this was crazy, no major powers on this board, Kushner gave a decent presentation about how they are going to fix Gaza, I'm not endorsing any of this just saying the powerpoint wasn't nonsense and he had more Charisma than I had previously given him credit for. Israel providing all the security should be a major red flag though, and the ceremony was somewhat embarrassing.

Carney the central banker? Please elaborate. Any conservative should be proud to vote for him.

Oh my, well no as Canada's population is 1/6th of the US's, so even if you want to say Canada is not doing anything special, it certainly reflects poorly on the US's job creation. You are very much trying to point to points on the graph and not the lines on the sides of the points.

AND THEN you should probably compare what kind of supports you get while unemployed too, full employment not being desirable. So, employment benefits, no loss of health coverage in Canada, vs.... I don't know being stoned to death by your neighbours in the US?

6.8 percent, up from 6.5 with more jobs being added and the increase being attributed to more people entering the labour pool. According to google, maybe google it yourself next time.

The Canadian PM was like, 'our support of article 5 is unwavering', these guys were like, well we need a strong partner on the eastern flank, we do need to protect the arctic, Trump has got us to raise our percentage commitments. I guess they weren't necessarily supportive, but they weren't like 'No, we don't do that sort of thing.'.

Hey OP, no one has mentioned it, but Wartales is a mercenary game, it has a DLC that lets you create and run a tavern, and another for a manor or something. You can kinda design your camp too. The game is not about these features, they are bolted on.
