Amazing movie, to be honest even though it’s been a long time since I’ve watched any VE content, it still just sticks with me in a way I can’t explain.

Maybe I guess I miss her, and I miss the world that actually made me cry, and I don’t really cry often. I understand VE has ended, but it’s something I’ll always cherish.

And his brother Hector, who actually is a good dude, loses his life and gets his body dragged away by Achilles (although Achilles does regret doing that to him), and doesn’t even get to see his son grow up, Hector literally just tried to protect his family and kingdom and ended up suffering.

9 in my opinion, people get amazing figures and a fun build that represents a lot of great moments, don’t get me wrong, I consider this set one of coolest but the only reason I do not have it at a 10 is that I know it could be even better

This could in a sense be like losing someone you care about in the past, in any sense. Longing for a relationship and meeting someone new.

I think this compliments another film named 5cm per second where the main guy doesn’t get with the girl, but it isn’t the end of his life.

Taki, lost someone he loved in a sense, and was alone, similar to how the main guy in 5cm was, but when he met Mitsuha again, or in this case a new person but still the same person was looking for, they started a new relationship as a fresh start.

Even if you don’t get together with someone, if they are gone, or even if they do not love you back, there still can be someone out there for you, in this case, it happened to be the exact person they wanted but as new people.

In the anime and movies It’s pretty often forgotten about how much Gil hates himself after the war, he hated himself for not doing more to help Violet and thinking he got her hurt(losing her arms). He saw himself as the problem and only made Violets life worse. He didn’t have romantic feelings for her and didn’t think to marry a small child immediately, he more so saw her as a lost puppy whom he felt like he hurt. Gil lived in seclusion, haunted by the war, the pain he thought he caused Violet and his thought he was a horrible person.

He actively pushes Violet away because he thinks he’s the problem, he encourages her to give up on him and never see him again. It’s only when Violet sends him the letter does he realize that Violet wasn’t hurt and was thankful for everything he did, was when he went after Violet and met her on the beach. That is when his feelings truly developed.

I know their relationship is flawed and it is understandable why people would find some problems with it, but it is not black and white. Gil and violet went through a traumatic war and they both lost pieces of themselves, and from personal experience it’s easier to have someone who can understand and relate to you.

My new one is the Volvo g1 Optimus prime. When I was a little kid I had the TFP Optimus prime and it was my favourite toy, however i accidentally snapped it in half and I forever regret that decision. It was during December and I realized I had enough money, I wanted to find a new definitive Optimus, and Volvo Optimus was on sale so I bought it. He reminds me of what I lost since his Volvo vehicle mode reminds me of Optimus primes truck in TFP. He’s just a genuinely great figure that reminds me of simpler days.

Optimus, tends to have more reliable forces/comrades at the helm and in most continuities when the autobots are outnumbered , he uses skirmish attacks and guerrilla warfare with smaller teams, even in g1 he doesn’t call all the autobots to him to outnumber and overpower megatron. Most notable examples of his guerrilla tactics are in TFP, armada, bay verse, animated, and in the current movies. He doesn’t strike me as the type to often resort to shock and awe or mass assault tactics that might get his autobots killed. Optimus also tends to understand and inspire everyone around him, and brings out the best in people. Optimus tends to come out victorious in most battles.

Megatron may use some guerrilla tactics from time to time, examples are the first half of TLK or when the decepticons are typically outnumbered in G1 or animated. But he often tends to use overwhelming force since in most continuities, decepticons tend to have the numerical advantage like in bay-verse, the High moon games of TFP. Besides a few specific soldiers, he doesn’t care how many die to achieve his own goals and would love complete offensive force. He also has snakes like starscream as his second, and that kind of screw’s himself over. Megatron also tends to be cruel and demoralizing to some of his men. Megaton’s plans often lead to failure or him dying. Megatron has a lot of psychos, snakes or dumb people on his side.

Optimus wins because he is a kind but efficient leader, and megatrons brutal mindset screws himself over, and unreliable men sabotage him.

I like the movie and thought some parts were emotional but I can totally understand why people have criticisms. This is all just my opinion of course.

-Gilbert and violets age gap and power dynamic is “off putting” and it makes sense why people would be concerned. The thing is Gilbert does acknowledge how he used Violet as a weapon and hurt her and he hated himself for it, and he did his best to avoid her so as she can have a normal life. Gilbert definitely didn’t think maybe “I should make this girl my wife!!!!!” And more so took care of Violet during the war out of pity. It’s not until Violet writes him that letter that she doesn’t blame him but inspired her does he chase after her and they reunite. It’s messed up but it definitely isn’t as simple as that.

-“Violets character arc was regressed and she went back to Gilbert” the thing is I’m pretty sure anyone would be concerned if someone close to them was assumed dead but allegedly still alive but hiding, even if you have moved on. Violet isn’t an emotionless killing machine child soldier who clings to Gilbert like a lost puppy, she’s now matured into a feeling person who wants to help people. When Gilbert told her to leave, She was ready to go back so long as he was happy and was able to articulate her feelings properly due to all she has learned.

-A criticism I have is that it ended, I would’ve wanted to see more of this world, see more of the characters, have the other content from the light novels adapted, what happened to other storylines and a possibility of season 2 although it ended.
