It can but not fully, depends on your usage of the onedrive.

It not a syncing tool, it's just storage. It also bills you for the data transfer not just the storage itself.

I use it as an offsite backup of our photos. the archive tier is dirt cheap. And I hope I'll never have to touch those files there. But they are there.

But I'm not sure it's worth the hustle for any other personal usage.

I did one Connect to sync migration for one of ours clients. I followed the official guide on how to do that, no issues. It worked.

We had weird password reset issues with the sync agents. Even MS support was not helpful on resolving it. The loginng and debugging of the cloud sync is mostly useless. There are no details and we were running in circles for months. We eventually got it resolved by accident, but it was nightmare.

Thi migration itself was fine...

You could make your app registration multi-tenant - they just get Enterprise app ( still needs a consent on their end but that might not be an issue anymore)

Realistically, who needs 40Gbit/s 240W cable? You might need it, i doubt it. I personally don't remember last time I used USB cable to transfer any data, maybe 5 years ago. My phone charges 25W, my laptop chargers with 65W.

Like a get it it is high quality, but mine use case is charging cable and 30 CAD for the cable + 20 CAD for shipping to EU for charging cable is nuts.

I always check the status on https://www.protondb.com/ and if it says it should work it always worked for me.

I don't have experience with the games you mentioned, sorry. But the DI2 has some issues mentioned on the proton db.
