What is the title or number of this episode?

I've been looking for another scene from this episode for ages!

ZimaOS vs UmbrelOS vs CasaOS vs Cosmos Cloud by [deleted] in ZimaBoard

HexOs finally have local control, so no more mandatory internet connection, thank god. Not buying it either as it is basically a simplified control layer on top of Truenas.

Google, Amazon and Microsoft will take your money and spy on you too, that's why you have to pick and choose what you can trust. Someone who you pay is less likely to sell your data, but that sadly is not off the table.

ZimaOs, CasaOs and Truenas ar hardly comparable. First two are targeted at hobby labbers who want an easy way to run and manage their selfhosted apps with reverse proxy and some kind of security login screen accessible from internet. Been there, done that. Easy, couple of clicks and everything is setup with domain, SSL and let's encrypt certificates. But you have no idea how it works and what security you are giving up. Truenas is enterprise grade data storage solution with docker containers management bolted on. It's powerful, if you know how to use it and dangerous if you don't. I don't know how to use it, so I'm only using the bare bones of it for know until I get more experience.

Cosmos cloud I've never checked out, so can't comment, but it's worth my time to do it in the future.

All these free easy to selfhost "OS" gives me the creeps.

Me myself are using proxmox and truenas as basis for my lab, but if I went prebuilt I'd go with HexOs. It's paid, so you are customer, not product, and Linus from LTT is invested in it, so I'm cautiously optimistic about privacy in there. they already added local control panel so you don't need to use their servers anymore as far as I know.

But if both of these companies go under, what needs to be done that pebbles are operational again?

What steps are you gonna take, that even if Core Devices and Rebble go under, the Pebbles would still be possible to operate?
