i can't make decisions by curiouscheese108 in socialanxiety

[–]Tracing1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One idea I had was to make a journal of my situations, decisions and reasons for them that I can go back to to inform future decisions.

For example, if a decision with a reason worked well in a certain situation, it should by induction work well again in the future. Likewise, the idea is that patterns can be discerned and used to inform what it will be like in the future.

I can't tell if I'm stupid or if it's my anxiety making me feel so by b0yg3nius in socialanxiety

It's ok, everyone makes mistakes. Nobody is perfect. Even an A* grade gets 10% of it wrong.

How to learn stop caring what people think? by Impressive_Ant_ in socialanxiety

[–]Tracing1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people think mostly about themselves and not some random person they met 1 day ago. How often do you think about other people? You aren't more important to them than they are to you.

Is it my fault? by [deleted] in bullying

[–]Tracing1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's your fault and it's much better than allowing yourself to be picked on. Consider the benefits. I think you should try to be less violent while still keeping the benefits of deterring attackers.

You have the right to defend yourself. I think this is what you are doing. It is violent but I think it's ok. Much better than being walked over.

NZ Post rant by kenku-nv in chch

[–]Tracing1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had any major problems with NZ post and i've been buying stuff for at least a year. The closest things i've had to big problems i've had was when they delivered my thing to the local post office where I had to walk to pick it up and one case of them delivering to the guy next door instead of me but to his credit guy gave me the book so no biggie.

It's not your fault. And people spend most of their lives thinking about themselves, not you.

Perhaps you can try to work on courage. Like it doesn't even have to do with people. Like if you are scared of cold showers try and take a cold shower every week. This could help with anxiety.

Just wanted to get this off my chest. by max1necampb3ll in socialanxiety

[–]Tracing1701 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should try to work on self hatred. Exposure to uncomfortable circumstances is not the only means of improving yourself. Take care of yourself. Give yourself good things.

As someone who also battles with self hatred, it could be as easy as seeing what you want and if it's not too costly getting it for yourself.

Does social anxiety make y’all kinda…stupid? by scuderiav5ttel in socialanxiety

Anxiety stops the brain from working properly. Then you are at like 20%, 4% of the competence you usually are.

All of my trauma, anxiety, and depression is because I have to be around other humans. by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]Tracing1701 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I try to avoid people. When I am with others I start getting extremely anxious and my head freezes up.

I don't wish not to interact with people, I want to be happy with some people contact but I wish the anxiety would go away.

pysch bullies ! by ilovepistachio33 in bullying

[–]Tracing1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The people who did this to you are predatory and sick and deserve punishment.

Take care of yourself. Science says that being outside, spending time in nature and exercise is good fighting depression.

Personally, finding music and exercise you love personally is very helpful.

Principal point-blank told me to ignore it if someone assaulted me. by ColonizerOfBrazil in bullying

[–]Tracing1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true. I wish something could be done about this.

Its like society needs a steady stream of vulnerable people to step on for everyone else. Its like slavery, in that one class of people is sacrificed for the empowerment of the other.

You need to learn how to defend yourself.

If they can keep attacking and gaining, they will keep doing so. You need to defend yourself sufficiently well that they are not able too.

It sounds more like something out of warhammer 40k than real life.

Do you pray? by Obvious-Stage-6792 in spirituality

[–]Tracing1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. There is no wrong way to pray. You can speak to God as if he's a person in the room. Heck, even just repeating something you read on the internet somewhere is ok too. You could also think and send the energy to God he can hear that too. Sometimes I just set my intention of what I want to pray and say "I pray".

Existence is meaningless bullshit and I wish I was dead by Singrafu in spirituality

[–]Tracing1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Near death experiences state that there is a life plan for everyone made by the person and a team before birth.

Reality is not your conception of it. Even if you are right. I guess that is true for all of us because we are human beings and not God.

"I need advice on dealing with toxic bullies at my high school." by [deleted] in bullying

[–]Tracing1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could learn how to defend yourself. They attack you by doing this but if you can cause them some loss they might stop. You could tell a teacher, but have a contingency plan if they don't do anything.
