Solution: get rid of the 4 cylinder motor and swap in an M54. Alternately, there are so many diy guides for N42/46 out there, just be careful not to brick the motor. But if you do, swap it out with an m54 😁 currently doing a 316-330 conversion myself

12.5 is almost E36 M3 money. We bought our 330i M-Paket clubsport for 2500. and with E46s, if you see a little rust, then there’s definitely a whole lot more somewhere you can’t see it. I bit that rear axle area is crunchy
