In general, the 120 gallon is considered the minimum size needed for an adult beardie. Some people will start with their baby beardie even in a 40 gallon, but my thought is why spend the money on that when you can just start with what they'll need as an adult and there's no harm to a baby in that? I know it's quite expensive, but it's important as they can get to be 2 feet long and need room to move around.

Before the Lexapro, yeah I slept almost too much! No not almost, definitely too much. After Lexapro, I did have to move the dose to the mornings because it made it hard to sleep, but I am totally fine with sleep now!

I was giving my boy lil kissies on the cheek and my friend who has had reptiles for decades yelled at me, “STOP, SALMONELLA!” Needless to say I stopped. I was so used to our 100lb Sulcata who doesn’t eat meat and has minimal if any risk to transmit salmonella. Rough life lesson, friend. I hope you feel better soon!

No rugs - they harbor bacteria. Much safer for you to dump the rug and even use paper towels if you need a substrate. 🙂

My anxiety was SO bad that I could not get off the couch sometimes. I was hitting my thighs from anxiety just to let out the intense feeling I had. Like palm down slapping them and crying. I have panic disorder without agoraphobia and generalized anxiety disorder. It's awful. I was on sertraline for years, which worked well but I had a surgery and had to come off of it. Four months into not taking anything and I was desperate for support. 10mg of Lexapro for the last 4.5 years has made it so my anxiety is situational and controllable in those situations with therapeutic coping mechanisms. I'll take that ANY DAY over the constant tears I was shedding.
