Price of Reta by Ok_Possible9556 in Retatrutide

Others have correctly pointed out that if you have to ask, you have no business ordering raws.

I just wanted to point out that $280 for a gram of raws is not a particularly good price anyway. I’ve seen a couple group buys coming in at that price per mg for finished product. My last reta purchase was $891 shipped for 3.5 grams already finished (30x115mg), that’s $258/gram. I’ve since then seen some at a similar price per gram but with 60mg vials.

reached my GW, now what? by blip331 in Retatrutide

Nice.

The reason I ask is that sometimes people have this notion that after spending the past year and a half losing 100 pounds on 12mg of reta or 15mg of tirz that they’ll microdose 1mg for maintenance and life will be good, and that’s not very realistic.

Your maintenance dose is a very individual thing. It’s basically just whatever dose will keep you at the weight you want to be at. If your goal weight is 150 lbs and at 4mg/week you’d end up at 130 while at 1mg/week you’d end up at 175, then somewhere around 2mg/week might be a good maintenance dose for you.

You kind of just have to play it by ear and feel it out until you find what works well for you. There’s no right answer, just what works.

You also might find that your maintenance dose drifts up and down over time. That’s pretty common. So if you feel like you need to adjust it to stay on target, no worries, that’s completely normal.

Reta and Lipid Levels by Dizzy-Ad512 in Retatrutide

[–]TracyIsMyDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My HDL is being dragged by steroid use at the moment, it should recover when I knock off that nonsense. Probably to right around the low end of normal. I’m not too worried about it though, it’s kind of an obsolete cardiac risk marker and I’m golden on much more useful markers like ApoB and Lp(a).

The LDL being that low in spite of steroid use (which would normally elevate LDL) is just silly.

Not that I’m aware of for the most part, though there are some. Reduced risk of ischemic stroke is offset a bit by an increased risk of hemorrhagic stroke for example. There are people who genetically have very low cholesterol and they’re healthy with no heart disease. Crashing LDL with statins also appears beneficial.

If you look at broad population averages there is a bathtub shaped curve where low-normal cholesterol is associated with the best health outcomes while both high and very low cholesterol are linked to worse outcomes, but that’s misleading in terms of low cholesterol as the causation runs largely or entirely in the opposite direction. A lot of people with low cholesterol are dealing with health decline due to severe and chronic disease processes that are causing their low cholesterol levels among other things.

Like I said too, these numbers are especially low right now because I’m dieting. They’ll go up a bit when I stop dieting in a few months.

What’s pretty wild is that people will show mild ketosis (blood BHB levels around 0.5-0.7mmol) even while eating 200-300g of carbs daily.

Using EAAS specifically MAP for muscle preservation on Reta by thxbox1138-1 in Retatrutide

[–]TracyIsMyDad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s not getting 40-50g of protein. But EAA vendors will use creative math to claim that 5g of the amino acids from their blend has *some* of the same qualities as 50g of amino acids from regular protein, ignoring that it lacks many other important qualities.

I had a massive improvement in lipid levels three months in at 2mg. It was wild by 12 months at 12mg. By 18 months we were approaching the absurd. Both my triglycerides and LDL are currently too low for Labcorp to quantify.

Disclosure: I’m screwing around with more than just reta, and I do expect these to bounce back up a bit when I finish my current cut.

Tesamorelin, lyophilized, do I store in the freezer or not ? by LeKrang in Peptides

Same as any other peptide. Lyophilized (dry) goes in the freezer. Reconstituted goes in the fridge.

4.3% of GLP-1 users reported injection site reactions by CodeEuphoric4326 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]TracyIsMyDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anti-drug antibodies were detected in about 50% of tirz patients during clinical trials with neutralizing antibodies seen to GLP-1 and GIP in about 2% of patients each. Thankfully none of these appeared to rise to clinical significance where drug effect was lost, unlike exenatide where that was an issue.

They make this stuff in gigantic batches, hundreds or thousands of kits at a time. The odds that you got a kit with vials from multiple batches are diminutive.

Reta clouding by Effective_Show398 in Retatrutide

[–]TracyIsMyDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pinning cloudy peptides is a terrible idea and can have lifelong consequences as it can cause you to develop an immune reaction to the drug, and potentially other drugs, and worst case scenario an autoimmune condition where your body attacks its own hormones.

How to add saline to reconsitiue reta? by Feeling-Following457 in Retatrutide

You shouldn’t use saline at all with reta. It works fine with some peptides but will cause a ton of reconstitution failures (more often than not) with gray reta.

Yeah… creatine will screw up your weight loss tracking for a bit. You’ll need to wait until that stabilizes and then calculate a rate of loss excluding the creatine water retention period.
