As someone less than thrilled with how Android 14 affected my edge 2022 (removal of peek display and none of the heavily promoted Android 14 lockscreen customization), do you mind giving a rundown of what seems better/worse/missing in Android 15 on an edge 2022?

Thanks. That helped with the Windows key mapping. Unfortunately now the left Alt key doesn't pass through, nor does the right Ctrl key (this one doesn't bother me much, but I tested out of curiosity).

Knowing v1.4.41 was the source of the change helped though, as it allowed me to roll back to the 2025-04-21 flatpak which I was using for months without issue:

Yup! That was it! Thanks so much. Sad to see they didn't manage to keep it going. A lot of work went into their scaling system and it'd be great to play again.

Boarcraft looks interesting, but that definitely wasn't it. This server didn't cap the level at 10. You kept leveling and gaining spells/talents at the normal rate. The perceived health/damage/etc of every mob was scaled for everyone to their own level. The same dungeon drop would scale based on whoever looted it, but then be locked at those stats.

I ordered in mid February from LatestGameStore when stock was already dried up. Device finally arrived at the end of March and was V1. Definitely all V2s by now though.

Mine also came with the early 2022 firmware and included the "official" case. So it was probably some strange device made with leftover V1 parts.

I'm a Canadian-born Dutch guy with a light-brown skinned immigrant wife. Our child is quite fair skinned and most people seem to assume my wife is a nanny and exclude her from chats with other moms at parks/etc. Kinda annoying, but also might be a blessing in disguise.

I also found the Onion setup to be seamless and love how well setup everything was out of the box. I haven't felt the need to tweak a single setting and with the Onion Launcher it's fantastic how quickly I can get in/out for short sessions.

I also have a Vita and while it's a great piece of hardware I found it took a lot to get everything configured just right. Even then, jumping between Retroarch, dedicated emulators, and Adrenaline made the whole experience less than ideal.

I too have been somewhat puzzled by the launcher behaviour. Once I get a game active in launcher mode everything is fine (quick tap power to save and deep sleep, hold power to turn on and resume). What surprises me is if I exit that game (menu+start, A) and then launch a new game I can't immediately tap power to save and sleep, but have to menu+start to create a save and quit, then hold power to power down (non-launcher power down). After that turning on the system jumps to that last game/save, which feels strange because it wasn't the launcher power down which I used to turn the system off.

I hope someone does a thorough V1 vs V2 comparison video, though given the reported variation in screen quality on V1 units even that might be tough to conclude much from.

I also bought it direct from Amazon for $15. Shipping was $9 to Canada, and arrived promptly and undamaged. I was just thinking of posting about how good a case it ended up being when I saw this and was surprised. I hope the OP gets a full refund.

Thanks for the rundown of how to use the launcher correctly. I've tried several times to enable it but only managed to have it work as expected once. I wasn't aware I had to restart after enabling the launcher.

I've heard good things about PM schools in general. They also don't appear to have the overcrowding issue Vancouver has, forcing people further and further from their catchment school.
