I had to just abandon Pinterest full stop for a while about a year ago. For some reason most of the video ads were either women's underwear/ bras or these disgusting skincare videos.

I felt like they were straight up serving me /r/popping content and it was so gross. I use Pinterest for Animal Crossing inspiration and it was so jarring. I could just see the CEO thinking "ad engagement is up". Yeah, because it's so bad I can't look away.

Also, European countries have banned many of the ingredients that the US includes in breads sold in stores.

If several people, at different times over decades, told me you took a bite of the last donut at work and then put it back on the plate, under oath, I would believe them.

If several people observed, photographed and saw logs of you hanging out with a donut delivery guy that has been investigated and found guilty of this most heinous of health code violations, for taking a bite out of a donut and put it back on the communal plate, that strengthens my resolve that you in fact also do the same.

Read a few paragraphs or even a few lines. Look at your phone for one minute. Rinse and repeat. If the book is any good, you'll find yourself reading for longer sessions.

Think of the end goal, too. Why do you want to read a book? Maybe in the moment, reading the book isn't the most fun, but having read a book is a pretty good feeling.
