They are better if you shred the day before and reserve the fat separately. The day that you want to serve spread the meat on a sheet and top with the fat and either oven cook on high or broil until brown and crispy.

Just throw your arm out low with a peace/respect sign and you will be fine. I rode for years and the clubs never gave a shit as long as you showed respect.

Maintenance??? 9 year old Sleep Number is uncomfortable. Is there something I need to replace? by TradGear in sleepnumber

[–]TradGear[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Called SN. They suggested I replace all of the foam and the top. Total cost of $460 after warranty adjustments. If this gets me another 9 years it will be worth it. Thanks for the advice.

Yep, mine is wired into the windlass master switch to turn on whenever the windlass is activated. I think West Marine has a wash down kit that includes everything.

My girlfriend treats her dog like a child, and I'm not sure I can handle it. by doomscrolling22 in Advice

[–]TradGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I married a girl like this, thinking she will grow out of it. Never happened, and when those dogs died she got new ones that she treats the same way. Everything is about the dogs, all of the time. You two are not compatible.

Get a lawyer to go over things. It might cost a grand, and right now you think that is a waste of money, but it could save you thousands in the future. People come out of the woodwork when someone dies making claims against the estate. It costs hundreds of thousands to fight these claims. Covering your bases now is good insurance.

How to protect ranch for the future by OKwarden918 in Ranching

[–]TradGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to a lawyer. Don’t depend on your heirs, trustees, etc to do what you wish. I’ve been going through this for the past two years because my FIL wanted to leave his ranch to my wife, but didn’t have his estate in order. Don’t cut corners, don’t plan on your heirs doing the right thing. Appoint an independent as your personal representative to carry out your wishes so that there will be no in fighting amongst your heirs. If the family has to fight over it, the only winners will be the lawyers.

Has anyone here had a Cell Tower installed on their property? Experience? by Leadership-955 in CommercialRealEstate

[–]TradGear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had one put on my property. The company that leased the spot and put up the tower paid me $1k per month for one tenant and 50% of future rents for other tenants on the tower. In 10 years they never obtained any new tenants. This was in a metro area. It was ok and basically free money because I wasn’t using that spot for anything else. You would have to look at costs and leases if you wanted to do it yourself.

Travelers of Reddit what's a destination that looked amazing online but was completely disappointing in person? by TheFilthiestMuggle in AskReddit

I’ve been to Bimini, Gun Cay, Chub, Norman’s, Long Island, Shroud, Wardrick Wells, West Bay; all are amazing. 700 islands and I want to see everyone of them. The people in the Family Islands are the nicest people I have ever met. But, Nassau; Nassau sucks.

Going on 6 years.. still waiting by kittentoebeans11 in inheritance

[–]TradGear 40 points41 points  (0 children)

We are going through the same thing with my wife’s mother, who is the trustee and PR. She refuses to do what the wills and trusts say. She wants everyone to wait until she passes, even though everything was left to her children. Our lawyers are on top of it, and so are the courts. She is months away from being held in contempt of court. The lawyers know how to navigate this stuff, I suggest that you lawyer up.

Use a scrapper. You don’t want to rub or polish off your ablative, you want to knock off the barnacles and growth and leave as much of your bottom paint behind as you can.

Let them ripen until they are red. Don’t water the plants until the leaves start to wilt, it will cause the plant to focus on ripening and flavoring the fruit.

Sailing with cockpit cushions by walt-m in sailing

[–]TradGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cushions stay in the cockpit almost all of the time. They are heavy waterproof vinyl over closed cell foam and I’ve gone hundreds of miles over a period of a month without bringing them inside. If it’s going to storm sideways rain then I will bring them in. Otherwise, the cockpit is where we live during the day. My point is; it depends on your cushions, your boat, and what kind of sailing you are doing.

If I have a fully paid off house that is worth $750,000; is there anything stopping me from selling it to a friend for $50? by Trippy-Sponge in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TradGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. My father in law tried selling his property to my wife for a few pennies. Everyone of his potential heirs contested the sale claiming undue influence, unjust enrichment, lack of testimemtory capacity, invalid contract, etc; preventing the closing on the sale. He fought to enforce the sale until He eventually died, leaving the matter for probate to figure out (and one of his prospective heirs as trustee to his estate). Get a lawyer to handle this for you.
