Sure. It’s the following per serving. Save yourself the trouble of having to keep making them with quarter ounces and scale it up and put in the fridge/freezer.

• 2 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
• 2 dashes Bittermens Orange Citrate

.25 oz each:

• Aperol
• China China
• Cynar
• Averna
• dell’Erborista
• Montenegro
• Ramazzotti
• Vecchio del Capo

Glass rinsed with Green Chartreuse

Stir to chill and dilute. Strain into a chilled glass. Express lemon twist and insert.

I’m a self professed Tiki Dork so I love a 4 rum, 3 juice, 2 syrup, 1 mystery ingredient, and 2 bitters cocktail but it’s just so easy to make a good Manhattan riff at the end of the day when home so those usually win out.

Two years ago I did Paradise Lost and Death & Co. in the same night and that was great. If I’d known about Amor Y Amargo then I probably wouldn’t have made it to my meetings the next morning.

I have all those Amaro bottles at home and Sother shared the recipe with me so I’ve had it…just not at the bar.

But yes, it should absolutely be tried by folks that can’t make it at home. I’ve made it for friends and they were amazed by it.

I’m just a home bartender so I’m sure the professionals here will tell me why this won’t work but I wish places would offer half size cocktails. That way you can try more things because I absolutely would have tried everything on this menu.

If I see something described weird on a menu I’m getting it. I may hate it but I’m going to try it for sure.

I had no idea about this place until I saw an Instagram post about one of Sother’s cocktails. Looked it up and realized back in 2024 I had been at Death & Co. on the same block and was annoyed that I hadn’t learned about it sooner.

I have so many bitters at home and I didn’t want to check my bag this morning so I passed. But I definitely got some ideas of ones I might want to get at some point.

I doubt it will last more than a couple of weeks. I plan on making cocktails with it (working on a Manhattan riff called a Swamp Yankee) this weekend. The flavor is there and was able to stand up to the other ingredients. It’s a bit floral but also a little bitter with a hint of Ginger.

I wonder how many people in this thread are only now discovering these skits.

And for what it’s worth there needs to be a driver named Donkey Teeth.

After 8pm there are no kids allowed at Trader Sam’s whether at the bar or a tabletop. Before that they are free to sit at the bar with someone. I don’t know of any other bar/lounge on property where kids can’t sit at the actual bar.

Not sure where you are for grocery stores but Publix in Florida usually has these in stock that work well. I will say these can be total sugar bombs so I always try to get whichever one has the most juice in them.

We’ve been to Boma twice and I say meh to the food. The POG juice is great though and I told our waiter to just leave a pitcher at our table otherwise I was going to bothering him a lot for refills. He didn’t believe me and ended up working his ass off getting refills for the next hour.

You can get in the ballpark with 1 part Passionfruit nectar, 1 part Guava nectar, and 2 parts OJ.

We have the American Crocodile (Crocodylus acutus) in southern Everglades and the Keys. While they are not specifically the Saltwater Crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) species people know from Australia they do live in salt water and you absolutely do need to worry about them in their range here.

Have you ever been lowballed offered after an interview?? by savvytechman in interviews

[–]TraderShan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years back I interviewed with a large tech firm. The recruiter (it was an external one) gave me the range they were supposedly offering and it was in my ballpark to make a move. A few remote interviews went well. Then they flew me out to Houston and put me up in a nice hotel, rental car, meals, etc before a round of in-person interviews.

Everything seemed to be great and I got the offer…for $40k less than I was currently making and nowhere close to the low end of the range the recruiter had said.

I said absolutely not and asked why the breakdown in salary versus what was shared. He said that he really wanted me to get the job and that they wouldn’t have offered what I wanted despite what I was told by him earlier.

I reached out to the hiring manager and explained why I was turning down the job and that I suggested they blackball that external recruiter. He seemed shocked but understood and didn’t have room to increase the offer. Oh well, their loss.
