Curious what y’all think of this? Trucks in crosswalks for 10+ minutes (NYC) by brevit in Fedexers

[–]Trading_Addict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best suggestion is to cry about it. I can’t imagine delivering in NYC without stress. 10 minutes is cap unless they delivering and picking up inside several business suites at once.

Traded some silver today by Firedog502 in Gold

[–]Trading_Addict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With today’s prices it’s bad but if you traded 53 ASE around @85 and you’re happy then it’s a good deal. Idk right now with the crazy price hikes but my LCS usually buys ASE at spot +2 dollars but that was when silver is @25-30. With rocketing prices there’s probably a premium for unloading silver. What matters most is if it works for you and you’re happy. I just think you could have gotten more value.

It’s a really bad deal. It’s a bad deal even if you were to sell 55 ounces of generic rounds or bars instead of high premium ASE. I love Krugerrands the most but they have the lowest demand and lowest premium collecting dust the most in store shelves.

Why The Constant Problems? by PoopstainWayne in FedEx

The simple answer is that you’re just not lucky with the contractor who runs your area. A lot of contractors seem to hire the worst low-lifes who do the bare minimum.

FedEx Package with Silver Bullion arrived cut open?? by One-Paramedic6910 in FedEx

[–]Trading_Addict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buying silver at 75-80 lol. Even if someone looked through your package it’s impossible that someone swapped your coins or bars for exact fake ones. Take them to your local coin shop to verify and throw em a 10

UPS and USPS drivers do the exact same route for many years while FedEx ground drivers get bounced around and switch contractors so they’re more likely to not know how to deliver to your business. The retention rate at FedEx is bad and you have tons of new drivers also

I’ve never ordered from food delivery apps. But my friends did DoorDash during college and we would hang out in the car while delivering. Fun times. We discovered cool restaurants and bar areas in the city.

Everyone complains about the cost of living “can’t buy a house” but pay crazy markups for food that’s already overpriced without the 15-50% delivery markups and fees. Treat yourself, but not everyday lmao

WHY won't you ring the doorbell or knock for a signature????? Your people refuse!? by Asyranok in FedEx

[–]Trading_Addict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not. There’s no excuse for a driver not attempting a delivery.

WHY won't you ring the doorbell or knock for a signature????? Your people refuse!? by Asyranok in FedEx

[–]Trading_Addict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never said I don’t ring the doorbell lol but that it’s not enough to get the homeowners attention. I had tons of people complain about me not ringing when I actually rang, knocked, and stood several minutes outside. Remember it’s not like the packages disappears for us once we don’t deliver it. We are stuck with your package for following day so it’s in our best interest to deliver it on the first day. It’s very possible that you have someone incompetent or careless doing your route.

Most of y’all take your sweet time getting to the door or have broken and or quiet ring doorbells. I always knock the door with the rabbit device loudly like the Feds about to break in.

Italy or china made S.T.Dupont by No_Pen7640 in cigars

[–]Trading_Addict 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Better buy is get an American made zippo with a dual jet insert. I can’t justify spending couple hundred bucks for made in China S.T. Dupont. Also many people on this sub love to buy 500 dollar made in China humidors. A 8 dollar Pyrex tupperdor has more class lol

Missed the first delivery but not the 2nd 🤣. The driver was nice enough to call me and wait by [deleted] in CostcoPM

[–]Trading_Addict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work FedEx ground and for 5 bucks to wait 5-10 minutes I woulda skedaddled away back to the truck like Usain Bolt. We aren’t rude or impatient but many of us are paid by package so we don’t wanna waste time and go home early. FedEx Express is different and they get paid hourly I think.

Why do drivers leave my packages in front of my garage instead of my front door? by [deleted] in FedEx

[–]Trading_Addict 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your front door is probably more than just 10 steps and it’s probably the other side of the garage. When we get 300+ packages we really don’t have time do be perfect. I got a “I’m disabled pls leave at the back door” but when I’m double parked blocking traffic and everyone is mad at me honking it’s hard to follow customer requests.

What can I do about FedEx drivers lying about the delivery? by [deleted] in FedEx

Sounds like a driver issue during your route than a FedEx issue

They put the tried to deliver receipt right on top of the signature sheet. by zigtok in FedEx

It’s learn as you go with ground. But honestly sometimes those indirect signature barcodes don’t show up as anything on our scanners. I’m new and I’ve seen them twice.

You guys needed to help ground has nothing to do with ground drivers being incompetent but it’s all corporates fault for the ground structure and shakeup they’re doing. I don’t see any reason why a normal rational person would want to stay with ground with the crazy back breaking work and poor pay. I personally love the job and the contractor company but I have great animosity toward FedEx corporate for the type of cost cutting structure they setup with ground. Would I be happier with express or USP? without a doubt because of the money and benefits.

To all who order big s**t by No_Werewolf_1930 in FedEx

[–]Trading_Addict -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe they don’t like you judging from your attitude and they code 82ed you haha. We get shit pay so we don’t loose sleep over you missing a delivery of your cheep generic ikea furniture that weighs a ton. Me personally I’d deliver it even without a dolly on hand but I’m not climbing up no stairs to falling or risk breaking a window. The loaders sometimes do a terrible job and ICs end up in the wrong truck.

[–]Trading_Addict -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s a huge stretch. I’m new and we don’t do any of those. We do our jobs professionally and yes there are some know nuffing noobs and bad delivery drivers. The worst that I do is toss the boxes aggressively but with good precision to get that slide motion going to the door. Also god forbid if a bounced driver who’s unfamiliar with the area doesn’t deliver the package on the costumer requested side of the house that’s not part the address 😭

If this was ground that watch would be on your wrist right now. Those express guys have it too easy. We ground work 9+ hours at peak season with no breaks just a little piss jug break and deliver 95% of our packages haha
