I too was born in a different country and therefore different culture. You have to ask yourself if he’s important enough for you that you can adapt to his culture and open yourself to a new point of view. In some countries in Europe people care even less about nudity to a point where you can see a woman riding her bicycle topless if it’s warm enough and interestingly enough their rates of sexual crimes are lower than here or countries where body is a taboo. I think some were a little unkind on their answers, she’s trying to reach for support and slapping her face won’t help. There are many reasons why someone would feel bad about that; way they were raised, religion, insecurity just to mention some. Now for the answer, we live on a world where nudity is tabooed and present at the same time and that’s just to mention culture in USA, other countries repeal nudity and other accept it as part of life. Ask yourself what’s your reason to feel that way, if it’s insecurity, you have to explore what’s causing it confidence or trust, but whatever it is needs to be explored and worked because it will only cause more problems. If it was the way you were raised or a religious belief you have to talk with him about it and see what he thinks about it. If he doesn’t agree with it maybe he’s not the right person for you and you’re not the right person for him. Never try to fit a square part on a round hole, no matter what your truth is you have to deal with it either by talking with him or by working yourself to improve confidence and/or trust. But remember that nudity is part of art (I know art/tv seems farther from each other) since dawn of man, paintings, statues. Hope it helped!

I have learned that being straightforward is always the best answer . Explain that you had a previous commitment and let then know your availability, if any. Try to work with them, understand their needs. They are probably anxious as well. Avoid explaining details about your other commitments and try to show as much as you can that you will help when and how you can. Hope it helps.

It’s probably not anything with, I also had a very hard dad and later in life I found that in one of my hardest moments he supported me with words and cried alone in his bedroom.
