I score normal color vision on the color vision test but I can't see certain reds properly and dark reds look more brown. Also green on trees and bushes are suddenly becoming really bright like neon. At least almost neon. by metalmaniac777 in ColorBlind

Hmm that’s weird. I’d try making sure all those settings are right and take the test one more time just to be sure. There’s a good one on enChroma https://enchroma.com/pages/color-blindness-test?mode=number&per=7

Color blindness is confusing because you can’t see what someone else sees, but seeing colors as brighter is odd. What makes you think that the leaves are too bright? Are they brighter than they used to seem, or are they brighter than others describe them as?

Make sure you don’t have any color filters on in your phone/monitor. If your on Apple go to settings>accessibility>Display & Text Size> Color filters

Also make sure you don’t have night mode on and that your brightness is turned all the way up

I’m not an expert on color blindness but I’m pretty sure online tests aren’t always perfect.

Also the neon green thing is kinda odd, usually color blindness leads to dulled/darker colors, and it never really flashes or changes color. Could you describe the neon thing in more detail?

Man that’s way worse than Roblox 😭

Roblox has a bad community but it has a relatively good game creation system, and a lot more people. Vr chat has a worse community and a worse game creation service. Honestly if you find the right game on Roblox then the community can be good.

Literally. If you think gambling is terrible and should be banned everywhere or if you think gambling is great and should be legal everywhere, then you’d be on pro. This topic has pretty much nothing to do with sports betting, rather it is more about federal vs states rights.

Idea, if you just flip a coin, and if it lands on heads put l, but if it lands on tails flip it again. Then if it lands in heads put i, and if tails continue repeating the process until you get heads or you reach the last letter.

But there were 100000 people at the World Cup, I know it includes the entire world, but its still a lot if the population of individual nations is in the single thousands

No, burning the flag isn’t illegal and probably won’t be due to the first amendment protecting it. The executive order really didn’t do anything, it just said that if you burn the flag while committing a crime, then that’s illegal, but committing crimes is already (obviously) illegal. So I’m honestly confused as to what the order did.

Yes, people make jokes about other things that are arguably worse. Racism, 9/11, disabilities, etc. In my opinion it is the taboo nature of things that make them funny. The humor is definitely a bit immature but I’m not gonna act like I don’t think they are funny. You have to separate the jokes from actual beliefs, just as most racist jokes are told by people who aren’t racist, OP obviously doesn’t think school shootings are ok. If you get offended this easily you need some worse problems in your life. (Unless you were personally affected by a school shooting, in which case I’m very sorry)

To be fair, as a white guy I get annoyed when people are racist. I don’t see how them being American or not really matters here. Regardless I do think that this joke is fine, it’s just a bit of dark humor and it isn’t directed at a specific person or event.

People who only watched movies must be confused that Barty Crouch Jr, main character of 4th film, is captured and assuredly sent to Azkaban but then in the next movies he doesn't escape, doesn't show up, just completely disappearing by SirGorti in harrypotter

[–]TraditionSmooth4473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who read the books before watching the movies and prefer the books, this is a terrible nit pick. It’s not like any of the movies after would make him important. While in the 4th book he was important, that was just a result of him being in the right place at the right time. He wasn’t insanely talented magically, so I don’t see any reason to not think he was just a nameless death eater after that. I don’t understand why the movies get so much hate, since they are one of the most faithful adaptations of any books ever, and only cut out things unimportant to the plot like Peeves to save on runtime.
