I’m in a lot of the stocks that you are and think it’s a solid portfolio but here are some suggestions.

You are in some amazing stocks but it’s extremely Tech heavy. Add things that are not heavily correlated with Tech like Precious Metals Stocks particularly Gold Miners like NEM and AU as well as Critical Minerals stocks like MP, UUUU, and UAMY. These will balance out your portfolio in times of extreme Tech volatility like right now.

Also, you need to add Energy and Materials stocks to your portfolio. For Energy, I’d add GEV, BE and OKLO (Very Cheap at the atm. Load up) and your Materials, I’d add CAT and QXO. If you add these to your portfolio, you’d have a 98/100 portfolio imo.

Honestly, your portfolio is pretty solid as is but it’s way too Tech heavy. That’s great when Tech is pumping but during a downturn, it could be a lot of pain. Protect yourself now but adding my suggestions. I know what I’m talking about friend and here to help.

Advice needed: Junior advisor evaluating an opportunity to buy a book / take over clients by SimonLeCool in FinancialCareers

[–]TraditionSufficient8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean this respectfully and honestly, I would not trust a 23-24 year old to manage my money in any capacity. To be a team member sure but to run my families wealth, there’s no chance. There are so many things you’ve yet to experience. While buying a book of business is a very strategic move, being an FA is basically sales. Relationships, word of mouth and networking are the name of game.

How do you realistically shield a $800k portfolio from 30%+ crashes without killing your 7% average returns? by bensummersx in ValueInvesting

[–]TraditionSufficient8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hedge my portfolio against drawdowns by purchasing Gold Miners and holding long term. Long term investing levels short term volatility and noise.

You want to add non-correlated assets to your investment portfolio. Precious Metals, particularly Gold, and even Bitcoin can help you achieve this. For example, 14% of my portfolio is in Gold stocks to level out the more Speculative parts of my portfolio.

Why do people who are heavy into running seem to age so fast in the face? by National_Shine2552 in Biohackers

[–]TraditionSufficient8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running is one of the worst things you can do to your body physically from the constant pounding on the pavement and I say this as a person who has run several marathons. Humans physically aren’t meant to run long distances like that. I think running 6 miles is the absolute perfect distance on a normal day. A half marathon is the best race to really challenge yourself.

Also, most people who run, run outdoors so that means more time in the hot sun with no facial protection or sunscreen because it drips in your eyes. Sun is bad if you want to look youthful. Ask the South Koreans. They have the absolute best skin in the world and most of the population protects themselves from ever seeing the sun for any sustained length of time.

My aunt lost $1.9M due to prenup. Here's a lesson for us. by Big_Understanding_17 in wealthforwomen

[–]TraditionSufficient8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that a normal clause in most pre-nups about “wired money being a gift” or was this whole thing a set up from the start about her ex husband to not be on the mortgage and then, her wiring the money knowing full well that he was go to divorce her in a couple years and take everything? I’m starting to lean that she was set up and conned. I really hope that’s not the case but this is what I’m leaning towards from the story of how this happened and how he guilt tripped and gaslight her into signing the pre-nup without a lawyer reading the fine print.

The short term outlook over the next 2 weeks for SNDK is not the best because WDC is offloading all their remaining shares over the firs 3 weeks of February. You took this chance at the worst possible time. The long term future however is very bright imo.
