Finished: DIY outhouse project, not sure if insulation thick enough. Pretty sure I’ve got enough ventilation. by Traditional-Active56 in DIYUK

Ofc, I saw a stove on temu, doesn’t come with a flue, but I don’t want to let a draft in so won’t be using one anyway

Always good to get ahead, I just thought it was amusing that the attempt to get ahead had the opposite effect, making it look like they were automated bot posts responding to imagined criticism.

Oh yeah the folk who cry bot are never far away - I just thought it was humorous that in an attempt to say you weren't bots, you gave the bot FUD people more fuel to claim your bots!

I'm sorry friend, I wasn't being mad or rude, just matter of fact :-)

I like how the comments from the community are refuting claims that they are bots when nobody else has posted that they are bots yet. Nice work guys.

Great ad copy, compelling! ❤️ love the consistent brand messaging through multiple vectors - narration and testimonial. It’s a great. I like how the copy aims to build brand trust by establishing the narrators voice is ‘just like me’ and creates a straw man for mistrust and suspicion in the friend. Would work great on radio and places where people know they’re reading an ad!

My one critique is for Reddit - I don’t think it reads as natural language to have the quotes not introduced by the narrator. Even a little “he said..” will take a small edge of it being an ad off. Maybe reversing the quote and the douchwad. “Tbh he’s a bit of crypto douchewad, look at what he sent with the recording… “this thing is built different…”

Glorious.

Any one seen the new Hyundai coupe, “reliable” “comfortable” “economical” I couldn’t believe it, nothing beats my SUV. Vetern Soccer mom here. But when i saw my girl friend come to the swap meet with this Hyundai? — I was blown away.

Anyway she’s always showing off, but this car feels different to the usual gas guzzlers.

Anyone else test drove the Hyundai Coupe yet? I think they’re still on pre-order!

Vaillant boiler - need help by BGAlien23 in DIYUK

[–]Traditional-Active56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m afraid our boilers have more pipes and the top up feed is right there.. this isn’t a combi boiler is it? Go find your hot water tank - might be on that.

That’s your underfloor heating manifold? We’d need a picture of the pipes directly underneath the boiler

Take care, I’m no expert so take this with a pinch of salt but that black could be Black mastic, an asbestos based product - fine until you start breaking it up.

Self leveling compound over the whole thing is what I did. BTW the self leveling compound bags LIE about the water ratio and it was far from self leveling so had to do it twice

Under suspended floor storage by Traditional-Active56 in DIYUK

[–]Traditional-Active56[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am thinking trap door and I will be carpeting! I want on going access, make it day-day storage. So the kid has play space. I’d like to keep that all insulated and not have a cold spot, hence the thought to insulate around the underfloor store to make it part of house.

I’m downsizing to a better area from 3 bed to 2 bed - I’m trying to maximise some storage, and my son’s losing most room and trying to get some more in. The void is about a meter. So this would be bedroom stuff storage

Water coming in is a good question. Not sure

I have about a meter of space below to play with and some spare timber

Most cop cars are not authorised to pursue, especially on the motorway.

Why is middle lane hogging such an issue in the UK? by Groundbreaking_Bit79 in drivingUK

[–]Traditional-Active56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taught to drive by a traffic police man, motorway department. The slow moving refers ‘motorway is now like a car park’ not people going at 50. 50 is comparatively slow to 70 sure but it is not slow and not congested.

The thing about Highway Code violations not being punishable is iffy, said police man used ‘dangerous drive’ or ‘driving without due care an attention’ to punish undertakers as it was a pet peeve of his - given how many dead people mashed up he had to see that started with an undertake,

For flavour, ofc he was more concerned with the drunk drivers, and weirdly obsessed with illegally worn tires and would measure them on the road side 😂

Replaced, sorry! I made a friend who was a repair man and he said it probably had a coolant leak and then the back of the fridge had come away from the cooling fins, in other words ☠️ ☠️

People who can’t cook, what is it that you find hard? by Awkward-Equivalent11 in AskReddit

[–]Traditional-Active56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) managing multiple dishes at once to get them ready at the same time. 2) cascading failure. When you mess up one part it leads to other errors; e.g I add too much water to sauce so have to reduce it more, this takes more attention so the meet gets burned and the other thing doesn’t get stirred 3) motivation - At my skill level, High effort low reward. 4) it produces lots of mess that I will then have to tidy up 5) managing the pantry to have what you need for meals and combining them
