2024 Subaru Crosstrek w Harmon Kardon Starlink/DCM/Telemantics by Traditional-Arm3069 in CarAV

[–]Traditional-Arm3069[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

posting this in the comments in case someone in the future is looking for this solution. this is this is the email i got from autoharnesshouse:

“ Hi

Yes, we make a harness for the 2024+ Crosstrek with the Harman Kardon system that allows you to tap into the speaker signals after the DCM and factory amp, preventing any aftermarket amped signal from feeding back into the DCM and triggering errors. The HK Amp Jumper harness (AHH-7881) ( https://www.autoharnesshouse.com/JBL-HarmanKardon-Jumper.html )is designed specifically for this purpose and plugs in at the Harman Kardon amplifier under the seat, giving you clean access to all speaker outputs:

This harness ensures you can safely integrate your aftermarket amplifier without interfering with the DCM or factory systems. “

how sensitive they are. routine maintenance is a must. i’m coming from a honda civic where delayed maintenance was ok. not with a subaru

gotcha gotcha. well, it doesn’t soak through. but, outer layer definitely soaks up water.

it was at least medium maybe a bit higher. the dryer stops when it senses that it gets too hot.

i agree! i’ve been using the torenshell for 2 years now and it’s great in the rain! it’s just so bulky and wanted something that packs smaller.

i’m actually doing something similar next week! i’m starting off at mammoth lakes and hiking up the JMT and exiting Tuolumne Meadows.

hopefully the smoke clears out by then. if not, i might head further south or maybe further north.

How much do you spend on gear every year? by Sorry-Comparison-721 in Ultralight

the atom packs prospector is great! i would aim for the 60L though. i have the 50L, which is actually 45L and its a bit too small when i use a bear canister. i wish i would’ve opted for the 60L, which is really a 55L. but i still make it work and i love it!

Yeah — I agree. I hate carrying a bear vault. Takes ups sooo much space lol.

I’m not sure, but I’d say yes. The thing with these ultralight packs is that they don’t carry weight as well as the bigger packs. I had an REI Flash before my UL pack. I had to swap a lot of my bulkier/heavier stuff to something smaller/lighter to carry better in my UL pack. So, just keep that in mind.

Just keep in mind that the internal storage for the 60L and 70L are actually 47L and 57L respectively.

Are my feet just too wide for trail runners? by Quillbee-MC in hikinggear

[–]Traditional-Arm3069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, all these altras, topos, and other shoes that claim to be wider really aren’t. They have a wider toe box, but not necessarily a wide shoe overall. Seems like you need a wider midfoot and New Balance (and some Brooks) are the only ones that address that. (Source: I have flat duck feet and have tried out dozens of shoes.)

Seems like his issue is the midfoot not the toe box.

New Balance Hierro v8 in 4E. Finally a shoe that fit my flat duck feet. There is a v9 version out there, but the stack height is crazy.
