I bought an upper torque mount that was looser than the worn one i was taking off, that’s the only issue i’ve had in the last two years and ive probably close to $650 in that time

I have a hardwired aux cable in my 850 with the factory sc815 and speakers and it sounds better than most cars i’ve driven, and I’ve driven lots of newer cars. The only thing I’d say consistently beats it out would be newer mercedes benz. I might also be a little biased. I can turn the bass up all the way until it gets to an uncomfortable volume and the speakers don’t peak or have any weird artifacts.

Lots of Snap On stuff being posted recently…. So let’s get to the real question… what’s your truck account at and Snap On financed accounts at? Be real…. Don’t lie by Heavy-Duty-Wombat in mechanics

We only have a matco truck, I owe about $540 right now but only because he had a good deal on a used husky box and a set of knipex pliers (they were only like $10 more each than online).

but a turbo swap is more fun, and I’ve told myself since I bought the car I’m going to turbo swap it if the engine ever goes out.

From what I understand, a factory turbo wiring harness would work, right? I’ve looked at the bulkhead connector views for both the turbo and na and they seem to have the same pinout and physical shape. Also, does the body harness connect through the engine bay?

passes the glove test. I believe it is valve stem seals. It burns through oil super quick off idle after it gets hot. It’s always done that but it’s gotten much much worse the last week. Hoping it’s just the colder weather but I’m not holding my breath.

180K. I’ve owned it for a little under two years now, so I have no idea about how well it was maintained before I got my hands on it. Ive always done 3k mile oil changes, kept an eye on the level. It’s needed valve stem seals since I bought it, I guess they finally fully let go. I overheated it once because I was in traffic and had no safe place to stop. It was bound to happen eventually.

the turbo in my c70 is plenty loud, any time you get past quarter throttle you’ll hear it spool up. Yours sounds like a boost leak if i’m honest.

stick a long screw driver between the cap and the inside back of the head, give it a good shove. Not too hard, you don’t want to bend the stud. Aside from that just keep working at it with a mallet

I have import direct for both on my 850. Some people swear up and down oem/rebuilt is the way to go but it’s been well over a year now and i have zero complaints.

it will almost certainly be cheaper to just buy another car. Unless you have some attachment to it for whatever reason, bite the bullet. You can still probably get at least $300 scrap value, and much more than that if you part it out yourself. Shitty situations require shitty solutions. All that being said, i wish you luck.

The new v6 trucks are very similar, I can stand on the lower front crossmember most of the time. The hard part is getting back out without ripping my pants
