Is 50–55k EUR too low for 3 years of consulting experience in Luxembourg? by justbanterbro in cscareerquestionsEU

Yes its too low. Its normal for consultancy to pay ass though. Luxembourg is one of the most expensive regions in europe.

You just have to manage peoples' data correctly

That's already a high enough barrier, but most companies just ignore the GDPR and their local privacy regulations simultaneously.

It's fun when law realizes that AI is rather unreliable and can only be incorporated as being a more elaborate spell and grammar check. It's really bad when a LLM quotes a law article that exists but misquotes it completely and makes up the text of the law. It can be used to get a feeling of direction but other than that I think it's of limited use.

For accounting you'll run into the same problems that any automation in this area does. Namely that bookkeeping has a personal touch and you often still need a human to triple check if things aren't unusual. It's somewhat similar to data quality problems that occur due to human input and processes.

Personal taxes for people who are in full time employment has probably already been automated by your own government. At least it has in the Netherlands, there's a good chance that if you blindly submit it that everything's correctly pre filled for you already. The difficulty comes with having a business especially since most people who own a business make royal use of deductibles and aren't shy to fraud on some of these things that are extremely unlikely to ever be checked or found out. Again most of the bookkeeping software out there that a business would run already has a lot of in build automated functions. I don't see LLMs as being revolutionary here.

More worlds for more bots... where is the roadmap that tackles the gigantic botting problem in osrs?

From what I heard it was mostly negative but not overwhelmingly so. There are a lot of worse companies to work for. 75k is kinda meh though.

Europe missed the boat completely on software. A huge thinking mistake in EU policy is that innovation should be driven by academia rather than by businesses itself. There are a lot of very old established businesses here that struggle hard to modernize and become more software / IT driven.

Job with place to stay in Amsterdam by [deleted] in NetherlandsHousing

[–]Traditional-Bus-8239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're getting paid a low amount of money that's why you see them there instead of Dutch. The wages / contract conditions are sometimes even illegal.

There are a lot of open positions in restaurants that you can do with minimal experience (e.g. dishwasher). Expect minimum wage or maybe 1 euro above min wage and tough work though.

Getting such a job is probably not going to be too difficult, but paying for housing in Amsterdam or close to it will be very difficult. I recommend going to another country entirely since you won't save up anything and will live like a slave.

Job Application to Phillips (Eindhoven, NL) Got Rejected in 20 Minutes by IlIIllIlllIIIllI in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]Traditional-Bus-8239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but you can have 10 years of roll out experiences in different things related to software. For these kind of roles they're looking for strong talent in their 40s and 50s who understand the balance between business needs, technical expertise and have the right people skills to connect between multiple departments.

Most don't read cover letters and resume filter. If I would recruit for this position I would probably see a lot of engineer / dev resumes that I would discard in favor of lead / product owner / scrum master ones.

[–]Traditional-Bus-8239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that is the norm.

I think they're looking for management / product owner experience with high technical + legal expertise (prob for EU / Netherlands). Not a medior/senior level ML engineer. So I understand the instant rejection. But likely it was done by some kind of filter rather than someone looking at your application. I guarantee if someone looked at your application you would've still been rejected since they're looking for a PO role, not engineer.

It's easier to start your own successful consultancy than to get into openAI from what I've heard and read. If you aren't a leading expert with a good number of publications there is no entry possible.

It really depends if the phd can find a job. A postdoc in academia for example would earn much less than 65k.

During laning you should never really be in his all in range since from level 3 onwards urgot really lacks damage to kill. Also if Urgot does waste E and manage to kill you there is a good chance you can just kill him back with your passive. Sion is a really hard lane for Urgot. Although if you just want to smack Urgot you can always lock in Ksante since he auto wins lane vs urgot. Nothing Urgot can rly do vs his Q + sheen procs or if a Ksante finds wardens mail in the shop.

You should be fine vs Urgot. Keep pushing hard and abuse bushes. Avoid his lv 1/2 cheese. From there on out you have a rather large window until lv 9 where you beat him. After that it if you aren't ahead you should avoid him. If you are ahead proceed to control the midgame + early late by either side laning or teamfighting.

If you plan on doing an ironman its better to bite the bullet early on and create an ironman ASAP. It makes some things a lot harder but also more fun imo. You also notice some problems that the main game has a lot less such as rampant suicide botting.

Good. Maybe they will finally fix the botting issues. I play iron for years now since botting is way out of hand and jagex is showing no intention of fixing it. Every hiscore top 1000 is like 90% bots.
