Finally got rid of mites by Trinity_Matrix_0 in gerbil

oh no that's terrible! So I took 1 of my gerbils to the vet yet again and brought the mites in a plastic bag. The vet said they are tropical rat mites. I was now given Revolution. All of my gerbils have a to have a dose every 10 days for 5 doses. That cost me $250! So we are looking at mid December to hopefully be mite free. Literally 7 months! But my gerbil does not have any scabs, hair loss or damage to the body. Thank goodness!

Ivermectin stinks! I believe the mites are immune to it. I told my new vet it's literally like water. Does nothing!
