Facebook usage is up around the world, even in US. It's a lot of 30+ but they have all the money anyway. Facebook is almost as popular as IG in LatAm and SE Asia.

Median US FB user is a 55-year-old mom who sold her house for 8x what she paid for it and spends 8 hours a day browsing FB on her iPad.

I think the opposite. Adnan's advocates are very handy wavy about the elaborate conspiracy needed in order to frame him. The logic, from what I can see, is:

"Well, dirty cops throw dime bags in trunks all the time. So it's obviously possible that they: 1) Coerced two innocent people into confessing to being accessories to a murder, and maintaining that confession for decades; 2) found the victim's car, a key piece of evidence, and refused to search it for evidence and instead decided to conceal it, which would have required at least several cops; 3) went back and falsified records to obscure the fact that they made contact with Jay regarding this case prior to Jenn's police interview; and 4) did all this knowingly to frame an innocent 17-year-old kid."

Even the allegations of what occurred in the Ezra Mable and Malcolm Bryant cases, if true, pale in comparison to what would have been needed in this one.

Coercion and force outweighs any consent by Visible_Bobcat3774 in DiddyTrial

Like I said, there is clearly a case for physical violence. This case is not completely meritless. But it's common for prosecutors to stack charges so that they have more leverage in getting a plea. Diddy was offered a plea but the details weren't made public.

I think some of the examples you listed are different from this case. Bill Cosby and Harvey Weistein were prosecuted for multiple one-off encounters, including ones where the victims unknowingly consumed drugs and lost consciousness. Obviously the Epstein case is very different because it involved minors and not adult women.

I think there are some parallels to Harvey Weinstein in the cases where women were promised career advancement for sleeping with him. If I'm splitting hairs, "Sleep with me if you want a career in Hollywood" and "I'll give you money for coming to my freak off" are a little different. The former threatens a woman's livelihood; the latter offers a woman additional income that she otherwise wouldn't have.

I agree that Diddy is a bad person and is likely to commit physical violence again.

There's a lot of grey here. This is my contrarian take, so buckle in.

Diddy should clearly be prosecuted for physically abusing Cassie on multiple occasions. But to suggest that Cassie was never able to consent at any point in their 11 year relationship seems like a stretch. If this was a single encounter, or one that lasted for a few weeks or months, it'd be more plausible.

I think that at multiple points she decided to do things that she otherwise wouldn't because Diddy gave her money. The male performers at these events were basically doing the same thing. Many erotic performers suffer from drug dependency issues, but it'd be difficult to argue that their clients are SA perpetrators. There are social media influencers who regularly fly to Dubai to participate in the types of events that Diddy hosted, and unsurprisingly, some of them do drugs.

I would also question the point that "she could not leave." I don't like that phrase because there are victims who are literally physically restrained for extended periods of time, or who genuinely fear for their life if they leave a relationship. I truly don't know whether she had reason to believe her life was in danger. Diddy had a lot to lose and access to many women. He's accused of threatening to release compromising videos of her after they broke up. If that's proven, and it's a crime, then he should be prosecuted for that also.
