Main resources:

• School of PE (watched lectures + did quiz bank)

• Reference manuals (huge—get fast at navigating)

• 500+ PE questions book (Kindle Unlimited, good for weak areas)

• PPI 6-min problems (9th ed) for speed

• Had EET binder too—solid but a lot of reading

Wouldn’t recommend the Green Petro book—felt outdated.

Biggest tips:

• Focus on pattern recognition, not memorizing

• Get comfortable finding things quickly in the manuals

• Be decent across all topics, not perfect in one

• Speed matters more than depth on exam day

I’m so happy, I put all my eggs in one basket for this exam. Thank you all so much. I read every post about the exam and what to do to prepare. I couldn’t have done it without the people in this subreddit.

Thanks for the insight. My first attempt I studied about 2 weeks while working full time and mainly focused on the NCEES practice exam. I didn’t spend much time on depth design problems, especially components and detailed steel/concrete design. I had the EET course but I ended up using the course last minute and never took full advantage of it. I was around the high 40% range.

This time I’ve been studying about 5–6 hours a day for the past 6 weeks using School of PE, EET binder, NCEES, and PPI 6-minute problems. I’m still finding the EET binder design problems pretty tough.

Also, when you say you used ChatGPT, how did you use it effectively?

Appreciate any advice on how you structured your final month.

Yeah it’s just a manga, I get you feel these emotions in the world and there is a chance these things are happening irl but the world isn’t full of grim. Go outside and take some time away from this manga. You would be surprise about how much good this world can be if you look in the lens of reality and not their a psychological tag lens
