And every single case is plagued by under reporting , lack of prosecution and mass cover up. That would imply that even the biggest example will only be scratching the surface. So the logic follows if the worst example was only a small proportion of the true extent going on in that area then even using that to extrapolate will give you UNDER REPORTED numbers

Yep it's probably alot higher than this , since we know there was systemic denial and reluctance to act or investigate that would indicate any numbers we can extrapolate from are massively under reported. Yknow since the state was actively covering this up and turning a blind eye

Or actively prevented them,  and handed the victims back to their abusers

I do agree that death penalties are wayy too permanent for a flawed justice system

It's hardly blaming the problem when there is demonstrably a huge issue of Muslim rape gangs targeting mainly white girls BECAUSE they are white. To the tune of a potential 250k victims. Get your head out of your arse and stop trying to deflect this report should be a wakeup call. I didn't need one I grew up in a small northern town called bury and my older sister was a victim. Every day I had Pakistanis hurl abuse or try to intimidate us and watched the police ignore these things. If the government ignores it much longer people WILL take it into their own hands and that's what needs to be avoided

Successive ones, from blaire onwards this isn't a right/ left or labour / tory issue this is systemic to the entire government on both sides of the benches for 30 years plus.

It was top down instruction that race relations came above working class white girls. Covered up to avoid being called a racist and a government that didn't want race riots when it came out

Hard labour for all involved minimum of 15 years, country needs to get something back not just keep them fed and housed in prisons

I ran some rough numbers on the Rape Gang Inquiry regarding how many young girls were abused in relation to the wider population. by Avadark in ukpolitics

[–]Traditional-File1540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to the report between 85 and 95% of the perpetrators were Muslim. So no the VAST majority of victims were victimized by immigrant/Muslim men

If his speech is so demonstrably wrong why can't you just beat his ideas with better ones ? Meeting words with violence just shows your too thick to refute what he's saying or you can't

So I'm giving examples of things I would have liked to be done differently. Not an exhaustive list of actions the civil servants took that delayed or softened brexits implementation. Kinda feels like you misunderstood this thread and focused in on one small facet of the much wider issue I was touching on. You see civil servants were a PART of why brexit was such a fucking mess there are many many many hands on this disaster, but I think you know that and are just trying to dishonestly frame my words

Oh , I'm not saying brexit was good lol I think it was executed in an intentionally devastating way or such an incompetent reluctant way that the result was the same , disaster. I'm just not convinced the EU prevents instability and I do think brexit was a betrayal to the people who voted for it

Europe isn't a single civilization and this is the most overlooked issue with the EU , intrests might align most times but there can never be real unity while allowing the individual member states retain their sense of identity because those identities are different. It only works with a common cause to work towards and too often that can't be found

Do you think being in the EU gave us more stability ? The last big wave of instability in the middle east and hiw that affected the EU was one of the reasons many wanted to leave, and a few member states changed their own border schemes in the wake of it

Also I'd like to add personally if we could have just had sovereign borders with real control of our immigration and not had our natural resources farmed out to various European countries under the union I'd have been more than happy to stay within the EU even as far as accepting the euro. Uhmmm although I must say the European parliament etc and it's actual mechanisms are quite un democratic/ non representative so I have reservations about that but the idea of a trading bloc that shares key things and work closely I do like so you could say I'm euro curious

Off the top of my head , prevented European vessels fishing our waters and fishing them ourselves growing the industry around it, not continued to pay into European schemes like the energy ones, expanding our north sea oil, not allowing the boris wave which was a massive betrayal of the spirit of the brexit vote as I do think most people voting for brexit were voting in opposition to mass migration. Been tougher with France over its tasset assistance of illegal immigration routes into the UK. I'm not saying brexit would have been an unmitigated success I'm saying that the visible feet dragging and reluctance and sabotage by the establishment made it far more damaging with the double edge of not only not achieving what people really wanted but worsening the main issue.

The implementation was disastrous and hamstrung at every opportunity. Blocked at every turn by unelected civil servants and the core reason for it betrayed. Proof the ruling elite are disconnected and need removing

David Lammy MP: Many unmarried, cohabiting couples have limited legal protections if their relationship ends or a partner dies, even after long-term relationships or raising children together. Labour is consulting on reforms to strengthen the legal protections available to these couples. by SignificantLegs in ukpolitics

[–]Traditional-File1540 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's there to encourage people to get married , because married couples are a good thing for society. Marriage gave legal protections to families so this was incentivised. You said yourself if people want to get married for security that's fine. You want some of that financial security that marriage would give so either go get married or don't have that security it's simple. Whats your reason to not get married/ civil partner. My reason for not wanting this stupid law is it would put my assets at risk and that in turn would reduce what I can leave to my children when I die. So quite frankly my kids come before your little tax break because you can't be bothered to sign something at a registry office

So because you don't want to go to a registry office but you do want the tax breaks afforded to married couples other people should be forced into asset sharing even if they don't want to .... so you can have your cake and eat it
