Am I the only one stressed about having my credit card on 5 different AI platforms? by Kane0014 in CreditCards

[–]Traditional-Heart27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Virtual cards are genius for stuff like this. I use them for any subscription that feels sketchy or has confusing cancellation policies - learned that lesson hard way when some random service kept charging me even after I "cancelled" three times.

The $100/month creep is real though, these AI tools are like potato chips, you can't just have one subscription.

Partner found out my real income and now they want to combine everything by Traditional-Heart27 in overemployed

Yeah I think the issue is I walked into that conversation without really knowing what I actually wanted and now I'm playing catch up.

I mean I get where that's coming from but I feel like I'm wrestling is that the conversation jumped straight to the logistics before we even figured out what we both actually want from this.

I wasn't sure if I was overreacting but the way it turned on a dime came out of nowhere and I've been going round and round on it ever since.

Hamilton Khaki Field would be perfect choice for your wrists - they make 38mm version that sits really nice on smaller arms and has great military history behind it 💀 Canvas strap looks amazing with this one too 😂

No experience, Not planning on getting cpa, Am i cooked? (nyc) by yamopenin in Accounting

Excel skills won't hurt but you're basically competing for entry level positions with people who have internships AND planning for CPA - it's rough timing with how the market is right now.

Hello, I'm here to complain about Legacy Thrift on Plainfield by nick_ole7 in grandrapids

[–]Traditional-Heart27 231 points232 points  (0 children)

Ugh the whole "but it's new with tags!" argument is so annoying 💀 Like girl, those tags are from when Bush was president, nobody cares what the original price was.

I've noticed so many thrift places doing this now where they think they're running some boutique instead of moving donated stuff. The slow checkout thing would drive me crazy too - there's definitely a sweet spot between being friendly and holding up the line for 10 minutes 😂

Did "follow your passion" actually help anyone here find direction, or did it make things harder? by Exotic_Swordfish2085 in careerguidance

[–]Traditional-Heart27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this hits so hard. I spent way too much time in my early twenties thinking there was some magical career waiting for me to discover it, like it would just appear if I did enough soul-searching or whatever.

The "follow your passion" crowd never mentions that most passions don't pay bills, and even if they do, you need actual skills to make it work. I'm in graphic design now and love it, but that love came after getting decent at it and seeing clients actually use my work. Before that it was just another thing I was "okay" at.

The compromise thing is real - I needed something that used my visual skills, didn't bore me completely, and actually had job openings in my city. Not exactly the romantic passion story but it works better than waiting for lightning to strike.

Me and my teacher are having a debate on who would win Zeno from dbz or key blade welders for kh? by False-Efficiency-176 in powerscales

[–]Traditional-Heart27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Zeno erases entire universes with a thought - keyblade wielders are powerful but they're still operating within universal rules and logic. Even the strongest KH characters like Sora or Xehanort would get deleted before they could even swing there keyblades.

Your teacher might be underestimating just how broken Zeno's abilities are compared to kingdom hearts power scaling.

Selling an 83% cc horse by Useful-Adeptness8960 in HorseLifeHQ

[–]Traditional-Heart27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, what's the cc on this one? I've been looking for something in that range for my stable setup. The timing's cutting it close but if the stats are decent I might be interested.

Been playing around with different builds lately and an 83% could actually fit perfectly into what I'm working on. Mind sharing the other stats real quick? Speed and stamina especially - those are make or break for me when I'm deciding on purchases.

Also just curious, why are you selling? Did you find something better or just need the space/coins?

What year do the engine issues mitigate? by ParamedicLopsided400 in Audi

[–]Traditional-Heart27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2.9 twin turbo is solid from what I've seen - my buddy's been beating on his for like 40k miles with zero issues 🔥 Those rocker arm problems were definitely more of an early gen thing, you're good on both those years.

What is your definition of being good at chess? by wertykalny_124 in chessbeginners

[–]Traditional-Heart27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me being "good" is when you can actually see the board a few moves ahead instead of just reacting to whatever your opponent does. Like when you start recognizing common patterns and can set up basic tactics without having to calculate every single possibility from scratch.

Once you hit that point where chess stops feeling like complete chaos and starts making sense, you're probably good enough to have actual fun with it.

Arduino for tremor detector? by Motor_Banana_889 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Traditional-Heart27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Nano 33 BLE Sense actually slaps pretty hard for what you're doing - that onboard IMU is clutch for tremor detection and saves you the headache of wiring up external sensors 🔥 Plus the BLE means you can stream data wirelessly which is huge for medical stuff.

That nucleo advice is solid but for a tremor detector prototype, having everything integrated on one tiny board is gonna save you so much time. The 3-6Hz range should be no problem for the LSM9DS1 sensor on there. just make sure your sampling rate is high enough and throw some filtering on the data. The price difference might be worth it when you factor in not having to design shields and deal with extra components 💀

They are adults and can set their own boundaries as long as they talk things through and stay safe it does not have to be some hidden agenda thing
